Great video--thanks! Wondering if the camera platform "box" can be removed completely, if desired. I have a use case for this...
@kieranhayesphotography2 ай бұрын
If you mean the riser plate that's attached onto the base plate for the teleprompter then yes you can but there are nos crew fixing on it as it slides into a slot on the teleprompter base so it can be positioned closer or further from the screen. Or did you just want to remove the beam splitter glass?
@courtenayennisvocalstudio2 ай бұрын
@@kieranhayesphotography I *think* we're talking about the same part. I'll call it the "camera riser box" i.e. the adjustable box that the camera mounts to, that slides back and forth at the rear part of the teleprompter base. I want to remove it completely as I plan to mount my camera to a different sliding base on my wall. The "camera riser box" looks trapped in it's track, but I saw another video where it looks like there are two screws at the back of the teleprompter base that I could remove to remove a small plate at the back of the base/track, allowing me to remove the camera riser box. Or the riser box might just lift right out--which you might be saying, but I'm not totally clear. Thanks so much for the response, already!
@kieranhayesphotography2 ай бұрын
@@courtenayennisvocalstudio yes, we are talking about the same piece so then. You are correct there are two Allen screws holding on a plate. I took the plate off and the riser block comes out. It just slides out then. I am not sure how you can attach it to the sliding mechanism you already have though. That could be the issue. If it's the same type of track then you have no problem.

@@kieranhayesphotography Amazing, thanks so much!! My plan is for my wall mounted track to basically “hover” just above the back track part teleprompter base. It’s a low-profile arm, so the camera should still sit in the middle of the glass… Thanks again!

Which brand and model has the best and highest beam splitter ratio in budget?
@kuyatefitness5 ай бұрын
Does it hold a smartphone for recording or just a dslr camera? Thank you.
@kieranhayesphotography5 ай бұрын
Hi, it's mainly designed for a DSLR or mirrorless cameras, you can get an adaptor so you could mount a phone to the teleprompter. NEEWER Smartphone Holder Vertical Bracket with 1/4-inch Tripod Mount. The idea there is you use the back camera on the phone and you don't shoot wide angle. The phone holder means the phone can be mounted horizontally or vertically also. Using it vertically could be tricky depending on the phone though unless you mount the camera upside down and invert the footage afterwards in editing.

wowsers that's huge! nice demo, thanks! I'm thinking about getting an elgato prompter or alternatively a neewer + iPad setup for talking head KZbin stuff. language education videos. what would you get for that sort of thing? Cheers!
@kieranhayesphotography6 ай бұрын
Hi Steve, yes it's a big teleprompter alright, you can also get x14 model which is a 14" model here on Amazon amzn.to/3WtDIKu that one also comes with the bluetooth remote control which is very handy. The carrying case is nice too as it's easy to put away and keep safe when you are not using it or transporting it. They also have the X12b model which is a 12" model. Personally, I prefer the bigger screens to the 12" models as my camera is a bit of a distance away from me when I record my videos so the bigger screen helps then, these eyes are not as young as they used to be so I need all the help I can get.

What Is The Beam Splitter Glass Ratio Of It?
@kieranhayesphotography3 ай бұрын
Apologies for the delayed reply, I am only seeing your comment now... It has a light transmittance of 71% on the beam splitter glass. I hope that helps a bit.

What did you do before the teleprompter?
@kieranhayesphotography4 ай бұрын
I wrote down bullet points and kept talking, now the videos take a half the time to record and editing time is at least halved also. Teleprompters are great to speed up the process especially if you like to talk like I do 😂😂😂
@CookinBeatloaf4 ай бұрын
@@kieranhayesphotography would you say it saves that much time overall or that it shifts it to a different part of the process? Or better quality in the same amount of time?
@kieranhayesphotography4 ай бұрын
@@CookinBeatloaf I have found it gives me a more formatted video and it saves me a bunch of time. It takes me about 20 to 30 mins to write it out. The video recording is about 20 to 30 mins shorter and the editing time is about an hour shorter as I don't need to filter out the rubbish pieces as much. If I make a mistake I go back to the start of the sentence and just do it again and keep talking. No idea why I didn't buy one before.

@kieranhayesphotographyАй бұрын
Hi I am using a 12.4 inch Galaxy tab S7 FE with this unit, while the 17" display is wider than the tablet I do need that wider 17" beam splitter glass for when I use it for talking head real estate shots with a wider angle lens, it comes in very handy then. I hope that helps a bit.
