very bad for waves about pricing policy but ok for people missing exactly that functionality. I suggest just give it a try and after the support ends render it and put it on uninstall.

@@Ryan-rn3cf This ☝️ Yup. I had a similar problem with their installers. And after I got so frustrated with that problem I decided to just sell those plugins. Then I realized, I didn't read the fine print. In order to sell a Waves plugin you have to be on the update plan as well as pay fees which all in can total anywhere between say, $15 and $30. Considering most of their plugins regularly go on sale for $29 you're going to possibly lose money by selling these plugins. If you're lucky you'll get $5 bucks back. So you might want to consider selling your whole account and give someone else your password. Additionally, some of Waves plugins are good and good quality but in comparisons, their emulations never hold up to those by UAD, Brainworx etc. They're just not worth it. I stopped buying Waves a year ago and will never again buy anything from them.
@soundcore1834 жыл бұрын
@@Ryan-rn3cf Yeah it is a whole diffrent issue if you got customers because you are forced even more to pay for every single solution - it is like SAP in that matter you got a whole framework and a subscription model you can't turn your workflow around. waves plugins have not so much crashes and are tested well, not telling anything about all of them I got just a few impressions but all of the neccesary things an audio engineer /producer really needs are compression, eq reverb and saturation where I am covered by other more customer friendly companies like plugin alliance, fabfilter and soundspot. Izotope is really on hard edge because really expensive advanced series with updates will cost you a lot of money while you could still trying to master with ozone 5-8. But I guess it is reasonable pricing if you want to be commercial and meet modern standards. When you got 10 different eq and compressors you are basically adding to your sound palete if you know your tools well. If you are starting out you could use something like smart comp, neutron or gulfoss to give you hints, where you need to do more stuff.
@soundcore1834 жыл бұрын
@@Ryan-rn3cf I was at brainworx studio and talked to Dirk (CEO) about implementing SH for other users to that time only the license was available to Universal Audio but it was a blink of an eye they finally took the code and ported it straight to the common vst framework as the license biz model ran out and they were able to do so. I think it is still an amazing company which really listens to customers but I was making too much feedback and things went not so well after some time as I was critizing the biz more and more. I made too many false expectations it seems. Over few years they made different changes. I guess it is all good. I can imagine that it was a nice experience receiving something for free in these times it is not so much about pricing like it seems, it is all about services and interaction with the crowd. I call it the Berlin model when you put an expectendly high price tag but make it cheaper monthly or to some event based pattern- it was very common practice in old days. The bundle idea is also an old one it was skipped after a while as it was replaced more and more by individual or publisher reliant bundles which are backed up by a subscription model- because the Slate idea went viral and so successful ? - obviously having customers making an impression of choice. Sometimes they overvalued their vouchers which opened some ways of missuse that 'pleasure' and you could basically get everything for free month for month. It seems all that crazy but now they changed it so they could recover the ROI more, which is a good biz decision I guess.

If you like this you might check out Tactical Nuke by 3SigmaAudio; it's like a VST version of a pedal called the Geiger Counter. It's like $35 I think? and has that skeuomorphic GUI thing goin' on that you absolutely love. It's simpler altogether but has way more wavetable options (hundreds of tables, and some much much crazier ones) as well as an interesting builtin bitcrusher/sample rate reducer.
