This is California's MOST REMOTE Dune System.

The Cadiz Dunes Wilderness in the Mojave Trails National Monument is a long ways from anywhere! 15 miles from nearest paved road, 10 miles of bumpy dirt road, washouts and deep sand gets you to a beautiful, unspoiled dune wilderness. Due to it's remoteness, this place was never a destination for OHV and has remained a pristine.

Very beautiful out there the dunes look amazing even without sunshine. Nice solitude and great that you guys enjoyed it and got to camp nearby. Great information on the road in too. Wonder if ny Subaru outback could make it

This place is amazing and very silent. I'd highly recommend taking a trip out here. As for your Subaru, it looks like you have a later model Outback which, according to the internet, has about 9 inches of clearance so if you're careful when you're going through the washed out areas you should be okay. The toughest part is going to be the last mile and a half after you turn on to the Cadiz Dunes road. Like I said in the video, don't stop until you get to the parking area and bring a shovel, just in case, and you should be fine. Other than that, have fun!
