Thank you for appreciating all breeds; it's the sign of a true horseman!

I appreciate your mindset to give every horse an opportunity to be the best animal they can be at whatever level or discipline they end up doing. Thank you for being all encompassing. 😊

FINALLY someone else who settles the girth by bringing forward each forleg in turn. And a PRO no less!! You wouldn't believe how many people have tagged me as nuts over the years. Vindication feels good!😁Thank you for giving me video proof of my sanity 🤣

What I’ve noticed is just how much work you put into these horses at walk, you simply don’t rush and it really makes sense as I see you get those bottom rows of bricks in the wall set up straight before adding the higher levels.

Perfect video for me right now. Working through this issue with my mare.

Yes, it’s the same when you’re teaching kids, I found! I always liked my pupils to show a bit of spirit and it was easier to tell if they had really grasped what I was teaching and what needed a bit of extra work! ❤

If I am understanding this right, this is the traverse move I am working on in my dressage lessons. Same move, different discipline.

Yes it is.

My half Arab /Appaloosa 3000 mile plus endurance/competitive trail horse was a very tough start, turned out to be the best distance horse lI ever had, he did very well for 14 competitive seasons and there was a time I was going to give up on him at age 4/5 and my husband said you are going to be really mad when someone else is out there competing him one day beating you!

This was very helpful! My horse has resistance only to the right and I’m really struggling to get the correct lead. I will incorporate this slow work with him.

Lovely mare! I'm working on this manovre myself, but although she moves her quarter over nicely, she slows down (as if she's finding it hard , ) She's not a naturally forward going horse, and this is continued work in progress. Is just slow repetition the answer for us?
@timandersonhorsetrainingАй бұрын
Yes slow repetition and encouraging forward.

So would you call moving the hip a haunches in or is there a difference?

It's the sane thing.
