I recently tried out the BO2 lobbies on Xbox 360. It took a while to put me in a match, but it eventually got me there. There didn't appear to be any cheating or hacking. It was so refreshing to play after not playing any of these shooters for close to ten years....

Everytime I play any of the newer cods I feel like I struggle often to identify and track targets and keep wondering if I'm just getting older or something (which I am, but not in that sense)... then I think back upon MW2/BO1/BO2 days and how clean everything felt and your vids not only bring back the memories but confirms to me visibility and gameplay was and IS STILL simply on a whole different level. For every single person saying "but graphics are piles better" I keep saying those don't matter if the game feels like ass regardless. Even BOCW with BO1/2 reskinned maps looks like a turd compared to this. Long Live BO2 (and 1).

It's also the fov. In the old games the fov was lower, whereas now you can adjust it to your liking. Having a larger fov, something that i assume most people play on, will make enemies smaller and therefore visibility worse.

@@THE_SAM09 I am among the few rare creatures that still plays around 80-90 fov because I got used to it from older games. For me, personally, the issue is more centered around the amount of visual clutter making everything blend into the background. For example, I absolutelly dread nuketown '84 but BO1 and 2's versions of nuketown were amazing in visibility and that naturally translates into faster reaction times and better gameplay (considering the mess of a map it is).

Funny thing is that I completely agree with you about visual clutter in general and especially in nuketown 84. Bocw was my first cod after bo2 and the visibility was initially absolutely horrible, but slightly improved afterwards. It was still very hard for me to see enemies, so i ran a flashlight attachment that showed a big red dot above them lol. Also doesnt help that the anti aliasing in those games was terrible because it didnt fix jagged edges and as a result created more visual clutter. Only fix was dlss, but that would make everything too blurry, making visibilty horrible again lmao. Luckily we now have fidelity cas. @@krixtorei

Seeing this video makes me wanna get back in older CODs on these custom clients. I know I was never the best COD player but especially in BO2 I was having a great time. I remember getting my first weapons diamond and I was overjoyed. And just the countless hours. Sure, getting in a Nuketown game that was being played to be spawnkilled and swarmed to the ground wasn't fun but the game was so amazing. The guns felt super satisfying to use. There weren't many guns I actually hated to use. I might get on Plutonium sometime this week and check it out.

Black ops 2 was the PEAK of Call of Duty! I was happy to find Plutonium, but there are definitely more tryhards on Plutonium than console, so getting good gameplay is a more challenging task 😆

You can reset yourself by going into theatre mode and finding class fixes in film that’s why the lobbies are so terrible because anyone can cheat by watching a film in theatre mode

I've been playing a bit of BO2 on the X-Box 1 backwards compatible recently and the hackers are still there but not as bad as they used to be. I'd say it's only 1/10 games now whereas a few years ago it was nearly every single game. I also prefer BO1 but for some reason the input delay is a lot worse on BO1 than it is on BO2.

I play plutonium pretty much daily, and apart from the occasional cheater (which is quite uncommon), it's a great time. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to replay bo2. Just be aware that you may need to purchase the game on steam first, which is only worth it when it's on sale.
