“This is dangerous…” PM Modi rains fire on Congress over North-South divide in Rajya Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Feb 07 hit out at the Congress for creating a north-south divide and ripped through the grand old party for working against the interests of the nation. PM Modi accused the Congress of creating narratives to divide the country. In Rajya Sabha PM Modi said, "...A nation is not just a piece of land for us. For all of us, it is an inspirational unit...If one limb of the body doesn't function, the entire body is considered disabled. Similarly, if one corner of the country is devoid of development, the country cannot become developed...The language that is being spoken today, new narratives are being built out of political selfishness to break the country...What can be a bigger misfortune for the country?... Such a mindset is coming out of a national party. It is unfortunate!... Our tax, our money! What language is being used? This is dangerous to the future of the country..."

Summary of what he is saying is that this is a dangerous narrative that the congress is giving birth to. If the Himalayan states start saying the rivers flow from us, we won’t give water to the plains. If the states with mineral say we won’t let our minerals feed the factories in other states. How will the country function? During covid the western states did not supply oxygen to other states, what would have happened? The country will progress together not individually.

I am a north Indian student who studies in Tamil Nadu. The local store owners, auto walas and all others charge me 5X for each purchase I make. E I have to pay 250Rs for 2 km of auto where as a tamil student gets the same deal in 50 rs. I have to buy a phone tempered glass for 500rs but the tamil student gets it for 100rs etc. These people dont treat us equally! One day I was fed up this and tried to ask why the auto wala charges north indians 5X more, he said "Tamil-Tamil brothers, State first!". I was so disappointed! I can tell you one thing for sure, these guys are backed by local political parties which are pro-dravidian. Please find a solution for this ASAP.
