I love that you’ve fallen in to George Michael’s spell. He was beyond talented and left his fans a beautiful catalogue of music. He wrote composed produced and sang on this album As he did the rest of his albums and singles. Earned the label of diamond which means practically everybody owned it. I do have to say the albums that followed this one are even better. I’m so excited for the reissue of Older, which is his masterpiece. It’s never been released since the first time and I’m so excited to receive this piece of musical art.

Check out Brother can you Spare a Dime on Pavarotti and Friends and the Freddy Mercury Tribute Concert 1992 at Wembley when George sang Somebody to Love with Queen. Phenomenal talent and voice like no other.

Fun fact, ''Father Figure'' was originally written and recording has a up-tempo dance track. When he mixing the song (before the ''Faith'' album came out), he wanted to check something in the mix of the song and cut the snare drums of the song and realized to he love better the song without it and it's ending like that in the album, making this song has a mid-tempo RnB ballad. After removing (definitivly) the snare of this song, he work so much the mix around of his spacey and dreamy sound while he mixing the song and that's was how everybody hear in the album and in radios. George said in a 2010 interview to his favorites of the ''Faith'' album was ''Father Figure'' and ''One More Try''.

One of my favourite songs ever by Geoege Michael. Had the pleasure seeing GM live at Wembley Stadium twice, was a massive Wham fan and followed his career until his death. I live 35 mins from the house where he passed away and went and paid my condolences. Can't wait till 22nd June when a film about his lifetime is on at the Pictures, GM was working on this film when he passed away.

For me George Michael is the best pop music vocalist of all time and live performer. The guy was a one man industry who wrote , produced , arranged all his material and was a multi instrumentalist. He walked away from the industry early particularly in US and kind of semi retired due to legal and personal issues. So he didn’t play the fame game. This guy should have been Madonna big for his whole career. He for me along with Prince we’re the most talented of the 80’s megastars. A monumental loss to music. The fact he penetrated black America with such ease and the black charts says it all about his talent. He was the REAL DEAL and an awesome artist!

Brilliant song. There are so many layers to this that people dont even notice. The background vocals are so intertwined into the song that they shouldnt even be considered background. I have told you previously that George Michael is my favorite male vocalist. Rob Thomas comes in a close second. This album blew up. It was huge. So much talent. Wrote, produced, played the instruments and arranged all the songs. His death hit me harder than any other so called "celebrity" or artist. Still touch to listen to some of his songs. Amazing vocalist. Huge loss to the music world. However, we have so many gems left behind to remember. Like this one.

Having the N°1 Single of the year is a great achievement for any artist, then having the N°1 album of the same year is an outstanding one. George Michael did it. Not only once, but TWICE within the same decade. Careless Whisper was the N°1 single on Billboard and MAKE IT BIG (while in WHAM!) was the N°1 album of 1985. Three years later, FAITH, both the single and the album were N°1s of 1988. George Michael is so underrated as a musician, performer, producer, singer.

His live voice was like no others. He was pitch perfect every single time. One of his last concerts which was with a symphony orchestra that took him all over Europe, these classical musicians said that they couldn’t believe that at the rehearsals his voice was impeccable. Not even having to do retakes. I wish you could’ve seen him you would’ve been blown away.

George is my idol, as I've said a million times lol, but one of the best descriptions is: 'The Most Handsome Man In the World ;)' and this was the album that made him the superstar he deserved to be; but George hated that mega superstardom. Older is his best album though. I think he'd love The Most Handsome Man In The World but more so One of The Best Singer Songwriters in the World. Thanks, Anton x

Hi Anton, I love watching your reactions to George. You are a classic George M. fan. I can tell this because you actually listen to the lyrics & take them & be able to translate them to your life experiences. I heard George once say He didn't like doing videos because he didn't want to do the narrative for his listeners. That was good music, you want people to feel, actually feel what he was saying according to your life, in his music. At any given time you can hear one song many times & It can mean something totally different each time! When I first heard this song It was on MTV. I was at work at about 9:30 am setting up for the day's work. I froze watching the TV & a feeling of being seduced came over me. I think this feeling was a classic for Woman because of his persona of a bad boy,(a very sexy one at that) yet being so tender & loving, knowing what women needed, wanted, & delivering It perfectly. That's my take on that. That's where the song FREEDOM 90 came from. Burning the leather jacket, blowing up the jukebox, sometimes the close does not make the man. This did not capture who George was. Hense for his next album wanted to do the truth of who George really was. Hence the court case with Sony, US. The suits as I call them didn't like the new Idea of George's vision of his next album. After all, this made them Hundreds of thousands of dollars so they said no. IT'S ALWAYS MONEY TO THEM, sad but true, Isn't It? Well, who came out on top, & who was sorry? I have to ask you about the things you have said about your experiences in love & relationships, Have you learned anything from George's music so far? You are an analytical person Like I can be when comes to looking back at my own life & love. Boy, have I learned many lessons about myself/whether It was good or not so good. That's how we grow, right? Have you been able with the knowledge that you coming to now, has It helped you personally in such matters? I'm just curious! Suggestion, OLDER, Once again It's something thought-provoking! That's how George touches me personally & with love! Thanks, Anton, as always nice to see you again! ALWAYS REMEMBER GEORGE & KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING! LOL, BK 😊🤔❤‍🩹 🎶=🕯😇🎶💖

Beautiful man inside n out. I’m 71 and still listen to him daily. I’ve always preferred his live versions. His band n singers were tremendous. Some of them stayed with him since his WHAM days. Dig into some of his duets. Stevie, Smokey, Elton, Queen, Aretha, Whitney, Beyoncé, Pavarotti, Tony Bennett etc. My fav will always be “As” with Mary J. Blige n “Blame it on the Sun” with Ray Charles. Faith was great, but my fav album will always be “Older” n “Listen without Prejudice”. 1. Kissin a Fool. 2. Cowboys n Angels, 3. Different Corner. Love your reactions. Pray for Ukraine 🇺🇦

This is such a beautiful song... but funny story I must share😂 I met my bf at the time in AZ & to stay with him I got dragged to CA, then NJ. I had to leave him once we got there, he was abusive... he knew where I worked so he brings me flowers & a card, begging to take him back. In the card, he wrote the lyrics to this song (it was brand new, so I hadn't heard it yet) I was tearing up, I couldn't believe he felt this passionately, he took full credit for the "poem" & I took him back... then I heard the song😂😂 if we were with friends, I'd say "did you know Rich wrote this?" What a schmuck!! The power of GM 😉♥️✌ I still love the song somehow... don't be jealous it's all about ME though, kids!! Hahaa Great reaction, as always!

I really appreciate your analytical skills. George Michael reminds me of a Prince meets Lenny Kravitz protype with a Tony Bennett backdrop. He was so so SPECIAL and a true household name. I don't really know of an artist who fits in the space where George Michael fits but I'll tell you lyrically who is in the same ballpark..... Sam Smith! Sam is not the complete performer as Gorge Michael.... but he gives us that vibe!

Hi Anton, I recently discovered your channel and really connected with you analytical, philosophical reactions to the songs you react to. I’m very much a lyrics guy and don’t really understand how you can truly appreciate a song without listening to and contemplating the words being sung. I was a fan of Wham! growing up but slightly resisted Faith at the time of release since it was pushed so hard and I’m somewhat resistant to being told what I should like. However his next album, Listen Without Prejudice, pulled me back in and I remain a fan to this day. My 3 favourite GM tracks are Praying For Time, Jesus To A Child & A Different Corner. Seeing what you tend to respond well to I think you will connect well with all of these. Excited to follow you on this journey. Keep up the great work.

You mentioned "stalker" at the beginning. I was like, YES. That's what I think this whole song is about. He drives her and sometimes her photographer lover around. He's obessesed. The video shots of them together are fantasies. Like in the back of the cab when she's kissing her photographer lover, he transposes himself there - he's the one kissing her, etc. Just my take on the song. I think it's totally from a stalker's point of view. Explains the scenes of him peeking at her from doorways and also pinning photos to add to his collection of her on his wall. Still love this song though :)

That's because most records from the 70s 80s 90s standard for music was "perfection" Every artist goal then was to make music at their highest level and something lasting and cross generational Now most artists are content with a quick buck as long as they get some streams and followers

I think he had a really good voice, but it wasn't highlighted well in some of his songs. The first anyone heard of him was with Wham, and their biggest hit: Wake Me Up Before You Go. It sounded like bubblegum to me, and I didn't really care for them, but I did recognize his voice had a great quality. Then, he went solo and did Careless Whisper and I liked that a whole lot more than his songs with Wham. Potential is always wide open, however there are things that can limit that at any age. I think One More Try, I Want Your Sex, and Faith are my top by him. I wasn't super into him, although I liked his songs when I heard them, so don't know more of his catalog well or off the top of my head. He had a lot of #1 songs I believe.

Have always loved this song. There's a cool fight sequence (cool to me at least lol) in the movie "Atomic Blonde" that is set to this song. I think the clip is on KZbin.
