Baroness Uddin had to repay 125K for over claimed in expenses that is not an error that is corruption theft but she is still in the house of lords WHY. Criminals on the streets go to prison and lose their lively hood why should they be any different they are criminals on a larger scale with their hands in the till. They should get at least five years in prison for abusing their postions. And anyone that accepts a Bribe ( Freebie ) should also resign as that are in positions of power and are open to blackmail it compromised they should resign forth with.

The core of this problem is “career politicians”. They study Politics at University, they become a lackey to some politician until they get on the list to become a candidate, and once they are elected they do everything they can to remain within the system and extract as much personal benefit whilst doing so. My solution: you can be an MP twice in your life, 2 x 5 year fixed terms only. The first time you are elected you need a majority only, same as normal. If you wish to serve a consecutive second term you need 66% of the vote. If you don’t get it you cannot stand during that election period again. This way MPs have to get “real” jobs in the real world where they are judged on their actual performance and ability to deliver. One final thing; once you have been an MP you can’t then get a job as a Civil Servant.
