Dubai food was something I never tried before. My family and me decided to go for an Iftar buffet because it turned out we were in Dubai exactly during ramadan time.
For Muslims Ramadan means eating and drinking is not allowed during the day. Most people will tell you not to visit Dubai during ramadan because it’s a lot more toned down than normally. However Dubai food is totally worth it as you can see in this amazing iftar buffet.
Iftar is the evening meal during the ramadan with which the fast for the day is broken. Many restaurants have a special iftar buffet and it's a brilliant way to sample a lot of Dubai food. We decided to immerse ourselves in the cultural experience because we wanted to try as much Dubai food as possible. This is my review of that.

Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

As you see, the buffet you enjoyed in a mix of several dishes (from the Middle East, South Asia, and North Africa). So Chbakiya is called Chbakiya. Both Chbakiya and Harira are Moroccan dishes. I hope you return to Morocco and you make videos there as well!

Nice Buffet though the arabic dishes were missin...there ought to be a lavish spread of middle eastern cuisine consisting of Machboos, Khuzi, Shawarma,Falafel,Tabbouleh, Luqaimat etc (These r all i knw....lol).Hummus,Babaganoush,Pita did mark some presence for the cuisine but important things were missing. In my opinion there is no Punjabi Samosa but a very basic desi spicy style samosa can b called a Punjabi Samosa (Internationally its easy to term it tht way) nd if u ask me i’ll say the best samosa is the one which u get in a school/college/univ .....canteen/cafeteria/cafe which is very basic,simple,hot nd never oily bcoz they r fresh nd the fried batch tht arrives is served immediately.
