Hell, even Golden State didn't utilize curry properly before Kerr. People forget Mark Jackson was running isos for Jarette Jack in the crunch time in the playoffs back in the day with Curry in his team. Kerr turned the ship around and Curry bought into his system. No other team aside from the Spurs probably could do the same thing.

The Celtics whether by choice or circumstance played a very very short rotation, barely 7 deep with Time Lord at least still hobbled. They were gassed by this game and just didn't have the energy to keep up that is what I think contributed to the rebounding getting away from them. Offensively they really needed someone to take control and set the table and Smart has never been that guy. Even Tatum and Brown can only take super hard contested shots possession after possession for so long. On the Warriors end it was noticeable how much Boston were able to shut down the motion offense. They played far more Pick and Roll than they usually do and this was a big reason that Klay and Poole weren't nearly as effective as they had been in during the season and prior rounds of the playoffs. Wiggins was far and away the 2nd best player on the team and they might well not have won it without him. Would not be surprised at all if the man gets a big extension coming his way.

@@deadeyedad8831 Tatum sure did choke I wouldn't argue against that but he was far from the only one on that team. Their rotations got shorter as the playoffs wore on is my point. Kerr by contrast was able to go a touch deeper into his bench and despite the wishes of many of us Golden State fans made it a point to give key players rest at times. I'm not sure what game you were watching but it seemed obvious to me that despite being the mostly younger more athletic team didn't have the leagues by this game. It's not an excuse it's part of what contributed to their defeat.

Being tired is never an excuse as to why you lose…Tatum should get most of the blame because when you want to be a star you better put your team on your back…Steph did it..again GS wasn’t taken out of their offense…Steph still does what he did coming off screens and putting up 34…Boston was athletic sure but Veteran teams win in the finals. I’m not saying you were wrong I’m saying that you’re a little off with your analysis…Boston didn’t have the offense to match up when they needed to. Just couldn’t get buckets

They overcommitted on Steph. I said it game one how good they were doing not getting sucked into his gravity. Focus on his teammates and keep them from scoring and force Curry to score 40+ to win. He can totally do that but for 4 games out of 7 is a big ask. It might not always work but it's your best chance. Game four they got sucked completely into Steph's gravity. Targeting him on defense is just fine but know Dray will always have Steph's back and look for the right pass after rotations. Seriously look at everytime they posted Steph up, dray came running and if it wasn't Dray he was yelling at someone else to do it. The way they play together is just amazing. They are the gold standard for team chemistry.

@@pstriple16 yeah they stepped up but a lot of that was from the Celtics defensive scheme too when they started over committing to Steph's gravity. Just watching them evolve from game one where they almost ignored Steph and he went off for 30+ and lost to game 5 where everyone was obsessed over him keeping him 0% from 3 and they still won. It's not perfect and the Warriors still could have won but the C's would have had a better chance than what they did the last few games.
