There’s definitely some dive watch features included though - the screw-down crown, and, erm… Yeah, fair 🤣I like the enamel dial so much but want to see it more clearly - I admit the AR is a bit of personal hang up at the moment 😅thanks so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it

This was awesome man…loved the bit on the lume…this is actually a cool looking watch but I see it more fitting in by the hipsters at a coffee shop…only us watch needs will know the military lineage…great vid

Thanks, Brian! Always appreciate your kind words. This colourway actually looks a bit coffee-stained too! The grey dial, that looks a bit more modern (and isn’t period-accurate). Think maybe I like the stories more than the design with this one 👍🏻

I used to read a crude lad's mag as a teenager, which often referred to a lady's nether region as a "stench trench", so you can imagine my word association with the term, "trench watch"

Screw-down crowns, AR coating, sapphire crystals, this good things weren't around 1918. However, it's a lovely watch. I like this brand! By the way, you'll hardly find a better or more reliable affordable small seconds automatic movement. Maybe there are some from the likes of Seagull, but believe me, this Miyota is better.

Haha, neither were those fighter planes at the beginning, as every would-be military historian has informed me! It's particularly nice with the grey dial, in my opinion. Oh, I'd much rather the Miyota, mate - I actually think the finishing's decent, too

@@LumePip that’s true. The bunker outshines most dive watches. And I have many of them. :D If you want a super legible watch with outstanding lume and a crystal that almost disappears, give it a try. And 100 meters of water resistance makes them almost perfect. And they are light weight. Some people dislike the logo on the dial and that is totally understandable. The case is not the most elegant looking one. However, swc deliver more bang for bucks than everyone else. Even more than most Chinese brands.

Ironic there is a Japanese Movement in the watch after talking about World Wars. It’s a nice looking little watch. I’ve just not quite gotten into vintage military watches…yet. Excellent review as always. 🫡

Ha, nice observation! I’m the same, mate, although I really liked my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical when I had it - but that has universal style cues (I’m chatting out my arse, but you know what I mean. Not quite as distinct-looking!)
