I’ve had both jabs - Pfizer and the first wiped me out for 4 days, falling asleep all the time and my arm was so sore I could hardly lift it so stayed off the bike. Second jab no issues. Better than being really ill with Covid though.

Had myself med. checked big time at the beginning of the year. Blood, hormones, screens, ultrasonic tested, gastrointestinal … top fit. After first Biontech shot, heart pain, 15 beats higher resting heart rate, short breathed, muscles cramped at night… all for more than 2 weeks. Heart racing woke me up at night. No flu symptoms. Did no sport at all for one week. Enough for me to cancel my second shot. After 2 1/2 months now, I’m able to do 70k and more flat with no problems, but when it comes to climbing I still miss my punch, it’s like I lost 10 percent of my top. I’m 56 of age.

I had the Oxford. First shot fine within 24hrs. 2nd one, still have pain on left side of my head and neck and a bit less energy, but is far better than the risks associated with the alternative for me and others. Well done for getting the jab Francis 👍

Keep being careful people! Work in West Midlands hospital that was never badly affected and a extra wards being emptied for covid patients ... now relatively young and x2 vaccinated srsly ill aswell. Stay careful. Don’t touch face too much. Wash hands etc.

Astrazeneca! Rode my bike past all the waiting cars and got to the near front of queue. Inoculated, waited 7 minutes afterwards and went on a 2 hour gravel ride. No symptoms at all. Waiting for 2nd dose but may ask for Pfizer instead to broaden the vaccine coverage like they have done in Canada.

I got the Pfizer vaccine back in April. The day after the 1st shot, I absolutely could not stay awake. I slept for almost 36 hours, then had no energy for about a week. Day after the 2nd dose, I had a horrible headache and a 103°F fever for a day. Then felt generally crappy for about a week. All has been fine since. No complaints and no Covid.

I did the same thing as you Francis. I went for a bike ride on the same day after both doses. The evening after and the next day felt a bit tired, but it wasn’t terrible either. Do a workout before it knocks you down. No time for messing up your structured training plan lol. (Also Pfizer)

Yesterday, I did a 128 K ride (longest so far this year), smached it at 31.3 kph, and this Morning did a 113 K ride, at 30.6 kph a bit tired from Yesterday (dunno why 😂).
