Kasya Rock, The flute part probably is harder. I play Flute, and learning the notes is harder than most other instruments. On flute, the notes go HIGH above the staff. And it can be tricky to memorize the really high notes. And yeah, as a flute player, you have to change fingerings fast on a lot of music! So yeah, it is probably harder than most of the others. Have a nice day 😊

Haha no. Not it is not. Double reeds are the hardest of the woodwind family, especially oboe. It's a great instrument though. If you like it you should try to learn it!

I feel like it's harder to play at first getting used to blow wind through the tiny hole the reeds make, and it's sometimes hard to get a good sound since its out of tune a lot, but it's fun to play

it can be hard ,you just have to find the right reed it does get hard to blow depending on the reed also.

Bigalow45 not at all. In fact you bands oboe probably doesnt suck it could take a decade before you trully sound good

Bigalow45 It is very hard and it takes a while before you actually start to sound good but since you already play an instrument, it'll be a little bit easier. Oboes are also kinda high maintenance instruments, so keep that in mind. But you know, follow your dreams.

I buy my reeds from my friend Lauren Williams! I couldn’t recommend her more and she ships all over: www.laurenwilliamsoboe.com/ If you want to sound great on oboe you need great, professionally made reeds. Store bought ones just don’t cut it. More than any other instrument, reeds are the most important thing for oboe.
