Yeah, I wish everyone knew his story. It's actually an incredible success story. His parents were pretty horrible according to many stories and his own personal accounts. His hometown was St. Joseph MO. I dated a girl in St. Joseph who had close ties with his family (I believe she was a cousin). This was back in 2002 so he had already moved on I think. But yeah, St. Joseph (a lot of it) is a drug-ridden shithole. He did not have a good childhood.

What's great about Eminem's earlier songs, is that for a lot of us we get to discover them twice. They were great beats 20 years ago, but now when we in our thirties and forties, and re-visiting these songs, we get to really feel the depth of the songs by really getting into the lyrics. The video to 'Cleanin Out My Closet' is a MUST SEE!😢 Em's a good man considering how shitty his childhood was.....he even adopted his younger brother Nathan to get him away from their abusive mother (Also adopted his niece from Kim's sister.) His mother poured cleaning products in his food to make him sick to get pills for herself!😱 When he got famous, she tried to sue him for millions for singing about her - didn't win thankfully. And she recorded a diss track about him - How messed up is that? I believe he has tried to heal the rift with her and wrote the song, 'Headlights' about it. But Marshall Mathers/Eminem is a truly gifted, creative Artist!🐐

Some researchers say that adults do the whole "Munchhausen Syndrome" thing to their kids is because the adult feels a 'validation of themself' when their child 'needs their help', or get a sense of 'unconditional affection' when the child constantly comes to the adult for help and then shows "appreciation for helping them out". The sad thing is, it is really just an extension of "motherly instincts" where an adult will feel a sense to "protect their child no matter what". Only when they do NOT get that feeling due to the child's independence or withdrawing into themselves to cope with issues, the adult will then inflict harm upon that child in order to get that child's affection. It is sad, because a simple "honey, sit down and talk to me" or "baby, what's wrong", or even a basic "I know it isn't easy, but as long as we stick together we can get through it together" does MORE for the adult/child relationship than anything else.

Leaving Heaven is where he speaks on his Father, and is the most he has EVER said about him. That's as far as I'll go cause I don't wanna spoil anything, any more than I may already have. 😥 Also, Debbie was already going through the legal process to sue Em for Defamation. She sued for $10million. She was awarded, $25k. Judge ordered she, (Debbie) pay her atttorney $23,354.00 out of the $25k settlement. Debbie ultimately received, $1,646.00. Some more info from LadBible: "In response to the suit, the rapper's lawyer Paul Rosenberg said in a statement: "Eminem's life is reflected in his music. "Everything he has said can be verified as true. Truth is an absolute defence to a claim of defamation. This lawsuit does not come as a surprise to Eminem."His mother has been threatening to sue him since the success of his single 'My Name Is'. It is merely the result of a lifelong strained relationship between him and mother. In 2001, Debbie was awarded a settlement, but the eye-watering $10 million she originally pushed for was cut down to just $25,000." Before the big money and mainstream took him over. Just my opinion 😉 And I understand you Asia when you was so shocked he was talking about his mama at that one point. But not all of us had mamas. Some of us had a woman who gave birth to us but never acted like a mama. I had a mother like Em did. She was horrible. Once I was old enough to get away from her, I ran far away. My children never knew her. She died alone and im sure she is burning now. But I went the opposite way of her. My kids are everything to me, I gave them very happy childhoods, no matter if we struggled financially. My grandchildren are my world now.. So I guess that woman did me a favor. She made me strong. Maybe thats why I connected to Em so deep back in the day.

If you had watched the video you would have seen his mom sneaking Pine-Sol into a cereal Munchausen syndrome makes you think you're sick when you're not Munchausen by proxy the mother or caregiver wants the attention so makes the child sick and gets the attention for making him better but usually leads to death of the child because they need more & more attention
@kristinkeiner65473 жыл бұрын
Parents and caregivers who have Munchausen By Proxy Syndrome will intentionally make the child or person they are responsible for caring for sick by giving them medication they have not been prescribed, overdoing them on medication and using other methods of inducing sickness/injury to make the victim require medical care. The parent/caregiver is seeking attention and is using the victim to acquire it. Debi Mathers intentionally made her son sick to seek attention. Eminem does not perform this particular song anymore. He is embarrassed to have released it and has stated he was in a different state, emotionally and mentally, when it was written.
