She was actually still on Nickolodeon when this came out! Leon Thomas who played Andre on Victorious helped produce the songs Honeymoon Avenue and Lovin It (The Rascals) Also she began on the album in 2010 when she was 17

I love how Ariana still keeps Mac on her mind through small tributes, like the crickets in “just like magic,” naming a shade of her r.e.m lip glosses “pickin’ petals bbc,” the ladder to heaven during her Fortnite event, and the solo she gave him to honor him in last year’s live performance of “The Way.” It’s so beautiful, like he’s always with her 😭.

This album is so Mariah coded in the best possible way, you can tell Ariana loved and studied her and she in many ways is Mariah's true successor, the vocal layering, the harmonies, the melodies, Ariana just gets it and this album was a fantastic showcase of what she could do at only 19 (20 when the album was released). It also pays homage and plays around with so many genre's and sounds straight out of the 90's in parts, thanks to excellent production by Babyface. Nathan Sykes was a member of the British boy group called “The Wanted”. They had a song, “Glad You Came”, that got popular in the U.S. in the early 2010s (I personally could not stand the song), and Nathan & Ariana very briefly dated.
