He just gets better every year, was pretty bad in Philly, became a good solid 3 and D player in OKC, and then proved to be a top player for the Nuggets in the playoffs. But know, he is in the MIP Race, his story is pretty inspirational.

I’ve known Jerami Grant from his AAU days playing for DC Assault with my brother. He’s always been extremely quick and athletic. Since he’s been in the league he’s added some weight, gotten stronger and really worked on his jump shot. Going to the Pistons was the best thing for him career wise and now he can showcase his entire game while being the main guy. The sky’s the limit for him. Definitely one of the most improved players this year.

As a long time OKC fan, I'm so glad that he's getting his chance in Detroit, but it also hurts to see him shine on another team. Once the 2018 season came around and he starting shooting that 3 ball I knew he could do something like this. As a super athletic PF who has developed a jumper and accuracy from deep he's got some good years ahead. But..I will never ever understand why the man can't get a board 😂

As i said i saw his potential after the first year playing in Loud City. He was the main defender of LBJ in the Bubble-Playoffs. Love him as a Player and he seems like a great Teammate. Still I feel like leaving a great situation at a title contender, to be Nr 1 at a terrible team in the east, is not what Basketball is all about. But maybe I'm just naive or romantic
@oscarerlandsson8713
@oscarerlandsson8713 3 жыл бұрын
I feel the opposite. He has the guts to go from a great situation to a terrible Detroit team, because he believes in himself and his abilities. If not that, what is basketball about? You say you're a "romantic", then why do you hope for the lesser "romantic" situation. To sit behind two other stars and coast to the playoffs sounds boring as fuck, when you can be the leader of another team instead.

I think he set himself up perfectly for the future: when this contract runs out he is only 29. He has proven he can be a 20+ points scorer or a great role player. Now when he is 29 he is free to chose between a small contract on a championship team or a huge contract on a playoff team. This move gave him options for his prime.

@@HB-ih9qp I didn't say he is owing someone. I literally said he seems like a great teammate. Obviously he can Do whatever he wants to do. what’s sad is the point he made about them being over the cap, they’ll probably trade him to a team just to get his contract off the books, because his value will be much higher and it’s gonna suck because other teams won’t treat him the way Detroit and Duane Casey is, which is allowing him to play free.

Last year he put up 12 points on 9 shots in 26 mins, this year he's putting up 24 points on 18 shots in 36 mins. So basically he just doubled his shot attempts which has resulted in doubling his ppg with a slight dip in efficiency. It's not always that simple as some people can't handle the added load, but he scaled up just fine. Strangely he has doubled his rebounds going from pf to sf. The extra 10 mins accounts for some of that, but not all.
