It was bedlam on the beach with binge drinking, raunchy behavior and arrests as Inside Edition’s cameras captured this year's spring break antics. Spring break is underway at South Padre Island, Texas, and Inside Edition’s Chief Investigative Correspondent Lisa Guerrero was in the thick of it. She asked a group of girls, “Are you worried at all about your safety?” “I am worried about my safety,” one replied. “We don't take drinks from other guys,” another said. #InsideEdition

It didn't appeal to me 40 years ago when I was in college and still doesn't appeal to me now. Back then I thought I was being prudish now I see I was being smart. My Spring breaks consisted of road trips and just hanging out with friends . I'm all for having fun but getting sloppy drunk and acting stupid just wasn't my thing.

A university I worked at had a Spring term course that went to Australia. One of the female students was getting drunk all the time so she was locked in her hotel room. She tried to jump from one balcony to another to go out and party. She didn't make it. Young people sometimes make bad choices. She didn't survive.
