But, he's got so much charisma he don't have to do much but sing. It don't hurt having some of the best song writers of all time writing for him. Dean Dillion, Bruce Robinson, and Dana Cochran are some of the best.

@George Strait No, I'm 58 yrs. old and never done the fan club thing. I just love good country music. I do a little lyric writing myself and have hung out and wrote a lil' with Doug Supernaw and a member from the band Cooder Graw. I thing Matt Martin dale, Jamie Richard's, and Jarrod Birmingham , and Bruce and Charlie Robison are excellent songwriters. Of course Dean Dillon is the master of song writing. I think I got some pretty good lyrics for a few songs but I'm not the best at playing a guitar. Need to get with someone to co-write with to complete them. Have whole lot of artist that are interested it's just getting the time to get together and sitting down and doing it. Country music industry has let pop genre invade the country music genre and that's tragic. They are stealing and disregarding the true format of country music. That old saying gotta have a fiddle and a flat steel guitar is so true.

@George Strait Hey George, I'm from Michigan & began with Rock & Roll of Beatles, Stones & Who. I transitioned toward country with the Eagles & in later in 70s started listening to Country radio. Of course i heard some of your songs then but got more interested by going to a yearly event around here called "Frontier Days" & they featured a band that played a lot of your stuff. It seemed the cute girls liked your tunes too, so when you came on, time to hunt down somebody to dance with. I didnt buy an album until 81' or 82' with "Strait from the Heart". Then i was a fan. I heard about your movie from the radio & my wife & i saw it & were impressed. You looked pretty good on a horse & you & that cowgirl had good chemistry. We've probably watched it a dozen times. Had the chance to see him in Tacoma, Wa in 1987 I believe. I was in the Marine Corps stationed at the NSB, Bangor. He was with Alabama and the Judds.
