I heard people used to hate on the Lion Guard when it was aired with Kion's existince as a previously unheard younger brother to Kiara being one of the reason why given how The second Lion King movie (Simba's Pride) didn't even mention him at all or even explain where in the world is he during the first act of the second movie which cause a huge retcon in a story With that said though, i love Kion as a character of him being basically a good counterpart to Scar I admit that as someone who enjoy Lion Guard, it had it flaws such as the Lion Guard concept itself being the Pride Lands Power Rangers (including the roar), Scar backstory (even his Lion Guard status), Kiara personality change, some retcons, some character like Bunga for example being annoying (at least in the early episode), and ect. But overall, I still love it.

And in this scenario, Rani would likely be driven by rage and revenge and constantly keeps losing her temper whenever they’d get away and Kion would be calming her down whenever she did. Finally, she speaks to Janna’s spirit (or her parents’ spirits) and she/they tell her that there’s no use of getting revenge revenge because it won’t bring her parents back and that it would disrupt the harmony in her mind and emotions. So then, Rani begins thinking clearly and makes up a plan to defeat the bad guys once and for all.
