What a journey Kion had - from a playful carefree cub to king of the Tree of Life. But Vitani also had quite a journey. She grew up in the desolate Outlands groomed to be a killer and instead she’s a protector of the Pride Lands. With two lands protected by the roar of the elders no bad guys would dare try anything.

The lion guard is one of the favourite shows, but after how things turned out in the finale i don''t consider it part of the original film series. I see it as an alternate timeline, kind of like the Halloween franchise. I mean it was a fairly good season and compared to most kid shows had a decent finale because they gave the show proper closure with the exception of Sofia the first and Elena of avalor (and Fancy nancy, puppy dog pals and special agent oso to a lesser extent, as they had decent finales but nothing to specia.) But if i were the script writer there are things i would've done differently. 1. Would've had Janja remain a villain. I have mixed feelings about Janja's reformation, initially i liked having him turned gone. But the past couple years i've been having my doubts, i mean i'm the type of person who tries to see the good in almost everyone and that people can change and that you should give people a chance to change. But i liked Janja better as a villain because that's what he was written to be and i wouldn't expect to completely reform. And it's a little thick after a lot of the things he did in the past, like trying to hold Kiara hostage and tried to kill two little cubs without any hesitation or guilt. As an observant person I could see his redeeming qualities, but i would've made him become more respectful but make him the "don't think this makes us friends" kind of person. 2. Wouldn't have made Jasiri ruler of the outlands, because they've always gotten by without a leader before as the groups in the outlands tend to keep to themselves. I'm not sure i would've made Scar double cross the hyenas, because he's a very smart person so i'm sure he would've known better then to betray them again after what happened last time he did that. 3. Wouldn't have made the lion guard spend the whole season away from the pridelands because i feel spending half the season travelling to the tree was a waste of time. I would've made them spend half the season away from the pridelands and have the rest of the season take place in the pridelands and would've made more Kiara and Kovu moments and to see how much his relationship with Simba improved after the events of Simba's pride. 4. Wouldn't have made Makini Rani's advisor because I feel it was ridiculous to have her destiny at the tree of life instead of the pridelands because Rafiki said the spirits told him Makini was chosen to succeed him. And why make her travel to the tree when the spirits would've told him anywhere? 5. I wouldn't have given Kion a scar because i feel it was kind of dumb because he already had his insecurities even before he got his scar. And i would've made an original villain for the season because Makucha was okay, but i feel he was better as a minor villain. 6. Forgetting everything else, I would've made Kion remain in the pridelands because he never really had any desires in being a king, and i can't really see him leaving his home for good. I like Vitani's guard in all but i feel their competition was kind of unnecessary as i'm sure simba let her have her own lion guard until Kion came back and would've made them have two lion guards or have Vitani's guard help them whenever they needed it.

Probably some war happened and Rani’s parents were killed. And Rani probably got her scar either during that war or in another fight with intruders who wanted to take over The Tree of Life.

And in this scenario, Rani would likely be driven by rage and revenge and constantly keeps losing her temper whenever they’d get away and Kion would be calming her down whenever she did. Finally, she speaks to Janna’s spirit (or her parents’ spirits) and she/they tell her that there’s no use of getting revenge revenge because it won’t bring her parents back and that it would disrupt the harmony in her mind and emotions. So then, Rani begins thinking clearly and makes up a plan to defeat the bad guys once and for all.
