There was restriction on bts but at the initial year of their debut. From about 7 years BTS are free to do whatever they want. They were even free to date openly. But they choose to play safe. Even if Lee Know & Han from StrayKids are not in love, I really admire in awe, their bold outtake and gestures in that they show their affection for each other unbothered by cameras (unlike how other celebs try to be all cautious.) It's crazy to me that american artists are allowed to date publicly but korean artists aren't. And it's mad that korean artists get more backlash for dating compared to american artists. Like why can't people just let their faves date? I seen a video of a very popular kpop idol walking with his staff to a car. The Paps were there, following them. There was a girl walking in front of the pop idol wearing a laniard with a backstage pass thing. (She didn't look happy) I sensed she was not part of the staff. She was the Idol's girlfriend. He had a smirk on his face, and even nodded his head yes to the camera (for some reason) 🤔I do believe they are mixed with staff. Very clever way of dating within the industry. The only thing that bothers me is that they have to lie and decieve their fans. It is part of the game I guess. It's so sad in Korea that these beautiful girl and boy pop stars have to hide it. Some even pretend to be gay. ( the boys, to throw the fans off). The entire S. Korean Idol industry must stop this dangerous facade. Fans will always be drawn to the K-pop artists because of their beautiful talents and their personalities. Creating the possibilities that a young person could result in a lasting relationship with an Idol is extreme cruelty, and when it has happened, the agencies don't want that either. It's time to take a big change in this industry and leave the artists' private lives to be managed by the artists themselves. This change of all out awareness that Idols do have personal lives will hugely decrease stalkers and potential psychos that can actually physically hurt a life and even cause a death. These kids do have powerful families. To the fandoms, if you really care about your Idols protest to the agencies. Don't just write your comments about the fans crowding them in. That does nothing for the artists, but let's you have hot air, non productive venting.

Thank you for that video. Actually I never thought deeply about that moment of idols life. And now that made me analyze a little bit more the marketing side of that industry. Idols bring too much profit to the agencies, so they can’t risk their reputation. In comparison with western celebrities, they have already enough paparazzi’s attention - we all see that craziness about airport arrivals and night events after hotel check-in. At least private life should stay really private :) whilst agencies can’t actually organise it and take all risks because of special fan service and culture inside this industry, they tend to postpone and restrict any relationship with various agreements. But indeed, all idols are very young people, I’m sure that it brings more value to their career path than disadvantages. Mistakes of the youth will never let you get your time back. And prime time of most idols is 15-25 y.o. So it’s ok to help them think more about career. It’s only a pity that they look so out of place when meeting other idols anywhere

Look at some of their videos. Who are all of the girls you see sitting on the couches on their phones? while the Kpop star is taping. Family, family of the staff, girlfriends. Notice how they also blare out some of their faces. Most of them have girlfriends mixed in with staff. They are young. They should. It is normal. Most likely, the relationships won't last, though. I heard an ex pop star girl say that dating within the industry doesn't work. She said they date each other in secret, but that the guys are too full of themselves. I can see that.
