I wanted to make this video because I really think today is the BEST and easiest time to make a KZbin channel a sort of side hustle by sharing your valuable information and passions about whatever you happen to be interested in- IF you monetize it correctly. You really don't have to be getting quite as many views as you used to a few years ago to make a significant amount. This is great news for anyone that is interested in creating content, because they don't have to chase the clickbait-y titles or brand deals as much, they can make more videos of things they are interested in and have the means to hire people, upgrade their camera equipment, etc. to produce better free videos for everyone enjoy.
Also keep in mind, this is just a portion of the earnings KZbinrs make. Most people also monetize through affiliate links, brand deals, merch, etc. Just had to add that in there because I know someone was gonna be like "wtf, how did you just buy a tesla then" since these earnings don't really add up to that haha. My most viewed video has 11M views and earned $43. In contrast, my highest earning video made $5,745 but only has 1.4M views. This is probably because my video with 11M views is 59 seconds long vs my video with 1.4M views is 10 minutes long.

another reason the scentbird video did very well in revenue is because it had a “business/financial” related niche which always gets a higher cpm than almost any other niche on youtube since those viewers are more likely to click the business related ad or purchase a certain product that interest them.
