There’s an additional tech for landing which you may not realize which can save you a lot of time on land animation canceling; You disabled your jetpack mid air after leveling out to cancel the animation, however, you don’t have to be level to cancel it. Fall damage is height based, not velocity based. So you can nosedive from the top of the skybox down to 20ft off the ground, and if you cancel the jetpack before hitting the ground at that height, you won’t die. That said, going at that speed while trying to cancel your jetpack is tricky. Bad timing means you either proc the animation or straight up die to fall damage. But if you can disable your jetpack between 15-40ft above the ground, you won’t die, and you’ll cancel the diving animation before touching the ground, because the character will naturally upright themself within a fraction of a second while in “free fall”. It takes some getting used to, but I found out about it after a couple days of playing.

This is such a fun game, I really am enjoying the skill gap. Coming from Warzone where there basically is no skill it's crazy to use your utilities in OTG, jump around, fly away and survive. It's just so refreshing.

I was watching you this morning and I remember you saying you were gonna make this video. This is huge because I got so frustrated trying to hit the ground running! This is a great beginners guide, but the meta has shifted to be super fast with roadrunners so in most occasions you're forced to play "fast" especially against sweaty players. Great guide, especially on the roll, climb and jetpack stuff!

I am a SUPERFAN of 3rd Person shooters. But ... maybe I'm just getting too old for these Jet Pack, Speedy Gonzales, Flying Squirrel, Rat Races. It's beautiful, and plays well, few bugs, Love the idea and customization in early access. Hardly anything bad to say .... I just ... suck at it. Several clips of lighting a guy up, he turns around and smokes me. The TTK and Super-Speed is just too fast paced for me to sink big hours in. Of course I did only play a couple hours of it. Maybe I'll continue to watch some loadout videos. See what happens.

I really haven't ran into issues. Besides a blue screen crash maybe once in a 3 hour gaming period. Only thing I'd say that's bad is the in game chat other than that it works just fine. Maybe some optimization but game is awesome! Can't wait for it to be out and see what improvements they come up with

Guns need some tweaks. Firing them doesn't feel punchy and bullet hits don't feel right. When you're being shot at there's not enough indication of location and on console the aiming is atrocious...but I love it so far.

I've been trying so hard to teach my friend that this game is different to others in terms of gun play and also the gameplay loop my friend is insistent on winning which is great but he chooses to prioritise this over hexes and he can't seem to get the fact that those hexes are genuinely worth something regardless of level and I can't seem to get through to him that they are NFTs and the marketplace is there for a reason he just wants to save up and buy all the stuff he needs but me I want to get as many hexes as possible and try to win as well,,,,,,, just an extra here a great loadout to run in terms of limbs is roadrunners/leapers with skunkpaw and paralyzer to force people out of hiding know where they are and disable their limbs to stop them running off

I like the concept of the game. But I have never been much of a PVPer. I'm giving it a shot. Out the box one annoying thing I feel I will unload a clip at a player and don't down them while it feels like they hit me with 3 or 4 shots and I'm down. Not sure how I'm feeling about it. But like I said I've never been really much of a PVPer before the "Get Good" chanters swarm me...lmao. Also it would be nice if there were actual NPCs in game also. Game feels a little empty roaming around looting waiting for another player to show up.
