I love I you.
now before you laugh or make fun of me, or just think I'm weird,
let me tell you what I mean by that first.
I don’t mean it in some fake, warm and fuzzy, sentimental kind of way.
And I’m not saying it just to be nice, or to look good, or to get you to like me.
What I mean is, at the very least, I only want what is good for you.
At the very most, I mean, i'll give myself, my life, in any way I can, for your good.
And I don’t care how I feel, or how I look, or what Im getting out of it,
or if I feel like it or not.
Love doesn't go this way.
Only this way.
And who are you?
Well you could be anyone.
my friend, my family, my spouse, person I like.
well thats easy, anyone can love the people they like.
What about the person I don't like, the person who doesn't like me, the person nobody likes,
what about the person I totally disagree with, the person who's completely different from me, there person I want to hate, the person everyone hates, the person who repulses me.
DOESN'T matter.
Love doesn't pick and choose who to love, just like the sun doesn’t pick and choose who to shine on, it just shines.
And what is your good?
Well it's all those little things that are gonna help us find the one thing that we all want, that we’re all searching for,
happiness.
as much as we can find here in this life, but more importantly, the full happiness that we can only find in the next life.
and I'll love you no matter what you do,
but that doesn't mean I’m going to love everything you do.
Love has to be tough, sometimes even fierce.
If you do anything that's gonna harm, impede, poison, delay or divert your good,
or the good of anyone else's,
I have to stand against it, not you.
Even if it's awkward, even if it's unpopular, even if it's gonna turn you against me,
for a little while.
But even when love is tough,
Love is always patient.
That's why we have a whole lifetime.
love is always gentle, kind, tender, loving,
never pushy, preachy, pointing fingers, rigid or mean.
and I don’t care what you’ve done, or how big you've screwed up, or how vast our differences are, or if your life is a giant, global sized disaster.
love is bigger than all these things.
And I don't care how worthless, or flawed, or unlovable, or insignificant, you think you may be.
love breaks through all these.
and if you get hurt, which we do,
or get into trouble, which we do,
or get beat up by the world, which we will.
and you're tired, and angry, and bitter, and miserable, and scared, LIKE THE REST OF US,
and feel like you’re, drifting all alone in a sea of, suffering…
ill suffer with you.
and if we disagree and get into those epic fights, which we will,
and even if you betray me, and laugh at me, and make me look stupid,
and walk away a thousand times,
Ill forgive you, a million times,
because nothing that could ever happen in this tiny little universe,
could ever be more important to me than you.
Not even myself.
This is what I mean when I say I love you…
but this is not my love…
my love is weak, and self-centered at best.
this is his love.
and he said, he commanded,
go out there and love one another as I loved you.

So we will run out of energy when we are ridiculed, and start falling, but if we truly ask for forgiveness from our heart, he will be WITH US ready to catch us. So all we can do is keep loving ❤. I don't know you, I'm just a kid trying to follow Jesus, and I believe I am a lukewarm Christian who thinks about other things more than God. However, I believe God spoke through me as I wrote these words in this KZbin comment, and I implore you to ask God from your heart for energy to help you love everyone, not just those who like you, but EVERYONE. So many people associate love with their feelings. It's easy to love someone on a good day, but love is choosing to stay and love somebody even on the days you don't feel like it or the days they don't seem so loveable. Love is absolute loyalty... it's a commitment to treating someone with the same respect or the desire to do right by them in spite of your feelings or how they might make you feel from one day to the next. We are all human. We all have bad days and choosing to be with someone through the good and the bad days is love. It's an action, a choice... not a feeling. It's resisting the feelings that make you want to leave or get even with them in an argument because you understand feelings are fickle. It's more about seeing the bigger picture and the long term goals rather than focusing on a miniscule fight or a fleeting feeling. It's understanding problems are always going to exist and not expecting perfection from another person or a relationships. It's holding your tongue and laying down your weapons. Let's face it, life is hard enough... love is a safe place where you don't have to fight.

I hate that despite me wanting then to be happy its without me when i told them id try my best to do so. Its the amount of respect you carry for the person. Just know that, if you wouldn't have done it, would you have stayed true to yourself and to him? Do you think either of you would have been happy? No right? Any break up goes through the initial anger stage. But they understand over time. I don't speak with him anymore, we lost all contact and he blocked me at one point. He unblocked me after a while and we still never spoke. There is a part of me which will always love him but not enough to continue loving him the way I did before. I am sure your ex would understand that too at some point and you will forgive yourself for hurting him. I hope you realise it much faster than I did❤️

I started tearing up halfway through because after awhile I realized you weren’t talking about your love and then you confirmed my thoughts that it’s not yours but his. And I just cried because I don’t know how to love him back, It doesn’t feel fair that I can love him like how he has always loved me. I recently was in bed at night just trying to talk to God and feeling terrible and then I said “Why can’t I love you like you Love me?” I cried as I realized the answer and it hurt to think I didn’t fully love God because of the fact I raised the question into being as if I hadn’t already did.

Im a Christian, Not a catholic, not protestant, not orthodox or any of the denominations, Christian, i try my best to follow what Jesus taught because i believe its correct and i was struggling a lot, and i mean a lot because i felt i wasnt good enough, this video came in the right timing when i felt so hopeless Now i realize it. "Love one another as i have loved you" It means to be kind to eachother, help eachother, forgive eachother, its not just romantic platonic or any of that. Was sesrching for how to be full of the love of God for others and all i found was how to love God. But i think a lot of us Christians claim love for God but have no little to no clue on how to love others. Our love easily turns to hate and we don't know how to be tough and not hateful, strong and firm without being self righteous and judgmental. Loving God should be the foundation of loving people and not the only loving we know, preach and or practice.❤

Loving to me is hoping you're the best version of yourself that someone will experience. Love to me is hoping their smile does not waver, even the slightest. Loving someone is hoping for every million laughs they get, atleast one stems from you. Love is the warmest blanket that puts a smile on their face, and your own when you think about it. Love isn't materialistic or symbolic, it's the feeling when you smile unknowingly. You can love anyone.

Wow. As a baby-Christian, last night, I asked Him, 'How do I love?' That's something I've always found myself struggling with, feeling so indifferent about 'I love you' even with people I do love, and with Him, just because I'm not sure how to feel, and it's been a worry. I dont agree with everything you said. But I do agree with your message of love. And its jst so baffeling to me how polarizing the christian community can be, on one hand, you could have a racist, homophobic, capital punishment supporter, who really couldn't care less about anyone other then in some cases their family. And on the other hand, we have you. I strive to be as loveing and as understanding as you, I'm not sure in what I belive in yet. But what I HOPE, is that one of these religions are right, so I don't have to spend eternity not existing. As a Christian this is my greatest challenge. Recently I've been given a lot of really good excuses to stop loving certain people, it just shows me that in the end, I'll always be a little selfish, and will never have full unconditional love like God does. Well, if you love me, then forget me. Do what is best for everyone else but me, including yourself. I know it'll hurt and suck, to know that someone else is out there, loving literally everyone else, but I'll be alright. I want you to love everyone else more and more, with each person you love, and then go back over them and equal out the difference. Only then will I accept your love, by this definition, and only then will I love by this definition, because then I will at least know that someone else is doing it.
