@spikeybitstv5 жыл бұрын
No it just helps it flow better
@benbaker54155 жыл бұрын
It reduces the water tension of the paint, making it spread out further or in this case, become "more liquid" and allow it easily pour out of the pot. Also means you get better coverage when you add it to a model
@majorbloodnock42815 жыл бұрын
It does thin it down but as I'm sure many people will tell you, you should be thinning your paints anyway so it just saves adding it by having it pre mixed in. Many thin layers looks better than one thick one as it's less likely to hide or fade fine details on the model or dull any sharp edges, if you want excellent advice on painting check out Vince venturella's youtube video series on hobby cheating he's very good at clear instruction and showing you the different methods.

A little flow improver, like in the vid - no. But you CAN go too far, and make it too thin (unless you really like the airbrush versions, in which case you're just about right). Flow improver isn't exactly thinner, but as it is used here, it serves a similar purpose. Just follow this vid, and you'll be fine. And, if you want to err on the cautious side, just accept that you'll sacrifice a few ml from each pot that just won't flow out because you used a bit less flow improver.

I don't get why people do this to me your wasting paint and time and money , GW paints are expensive enough after you transfer them your leaving paint in the original pot

Contrast paints are already overpriced. Buying additional stuff to make them better... are not helping.

Do not pour it in the dropper bottles like this - sorry Spikey Bits. Buy a flask funnel on Amazon. They cost around 5-8 $ and are made of stainless steel.
@spikeybitstv5 жыл бұрын
Sure you can do that too. I transferred nearly 100 of these and didn’t spill a drop without a funnel 😉

Yup. I agree. The California city of Vallejo should be Bah-ye-hoh. Although no one pronounces it that way. English is dumb.
