Hi Pranav, I am what people call a spiritual person. Though I haven't the scriptures, here's a thought that I had: Religion is philosophy. To me, I read and re-read the story of 10 forms of Lord Vishnu multiple times and got my answers. Look at god and stories as moral stories. For instance, the story of Ramayana teaches me to do the right thing. Mantras are Mindful chants, and due to relaxation you get a solution. About the head shaving part: it represents loss of an identity. Personally, I saw some great incidents and prayers made me a better person. These creators not only spread psedouscience but also false religion. For instance, read Aditya Hrydaum strotram. based on my understand, it thanks the Sun for the rain, sunlight, warmth etc. Science and Religion don't need to hate each other. They can co-exist but going too much extremes ( like telling me I am going to hell) or saying that there's no use of prayers.( Prayers practice gratitude). Sometimes, even modern medicine can't help, then turn to god. God gave us mordern medicine too, why do we reject it? About the god part: God is formless and our minds can't progress formlessness. It is energy.

Well not really but it depends on the system and the field of physics. Potential energy can be negative depending on where you set your ground. If you set earth surface as zero for the potential energy then any object above the surface will have positive potential energy and below it will have negative potential energy. Usually in gravitational force field, zero of the potential energy is set at infinity so potential energy will have negative values. In this context potential energy represents the system which are bound. Eg. Earth and moon system. In order so separate them you have to provide energy (i.e. kinetic energy). Eg. Earth and moon are bound system. If you want to free the moon from orbiting around earth then you have to supply energy to it (i.e. kinetic energy) more or equal to the magnitude of potential energy. Here potential energy will have negative value. So once again potential energy will be negative based on where you set your ground. Conservation of energy comes from Noether's theorem when we take time translation symmetry. Religious people misuse the word energy. They shouldn't use postive energy or negative energy because it causes confusion. What they mean is Postive energy => Good energy Negative energy => Bad energy. In physics there is nothing called good energy and bad energy.
