Nah, JJ's "vision" was exceptionally loose and non-committal by design. They had no plan; no real outline for what the story was supposed to be and where it was supposed to go. It seems the only constant was to copy, then invalidate, the OG trilogy so that Disney could have the "one true story" and "one true outcome" with the "one true hero." Since, you know, Disney is exceptionally anal about having full creative control of everything they own and wanted to make sure that anything made before they owned the IP didn't matter narratively.

Considering how much more boring DSP has become and how often he stalls and begs, both while "playing" and on Twitter, have you considered changing this format from random text on screen explaining what dumb thing he's doing wrong in game and instead focusing on how often (and how loudly) he berates his viewers, demands money, and generally acts like a clown? Frankly, outside of rare highlights in a game, TIHYDP clips that primarily focus on gameplay just don't have the same draw they used to. I used to put these videos on in the background of other things, and since your style is almost 100% visual (ie: reading the blurbs), without the pig squealing much it's just not working for me anymore and it's like I'm just listening to raw DSP. Raw pork is bad for you. Also, a bunch of people who make content like this are getting false flagged and their channels taken down. Might want to be prepared for that.

I still remember how he and Panda got stuck in a wall playing an older lego star wars game and then DSP just refused to play the level over again and just stopped playing. DSP truly is special when he can find ways to fail at childrens games. And this will likely be no different. Phil said Rey was well written.... jesus. There's some good thing Disney star wars has done. I think mando is ok. It has problems but is ok, it's not insulting or brain dead with badly written characters atleast. Clone war got it's final season(Minus a few episodes sadly) and it's being semi-continued with Bad Batch which I liked too. Prequels have a few problems but I've liked them as a kid and like them now, still leagues above the Disney trilogy without a single doubt in my mind. This isn't really about the franchise it's about Phil but him saying Rey was well written..... holy shit...

(I’d toss Star Wars: Visions into the pile of “Good/Decent post-Disney Stuff” mainly because animated/anime anthologies are neat and more franchises should do them) Everything about Phil’s behavior towards the Sequel Trilogy was mind-boggling. It’s like he lived under a rock and completely missed the firestorm of discourse that the last two movies kicked up in their wakes. He would’ve gotten eaten alive by both sides had he said some of those things back when the movies were fresh in everyone’s minds.

@@jtlego1 I actually completely neglected to watch Star wars visions. never had anything against it, it just escaped my mind. My brother did and he liked it outside of maybe one episode. So maybe I'll get around to that.

Clearly this was made some time ago. Dave has since mentioned that he wants to get EvilAJ's permission to react to TIHYDP MGS2 at some point, so this comment from you aged poorly!

I( and some others) may argue that The Force Awakens is totally watchable and somewhat enjoyable. The followups....not so much. Welcome back, Outsyder.

Force Awakens had good set up but screwed up a lot. It is still a watchable movie and it really is a shame how badly it gets screwed over by the two disasters that followed it.
