Experience survival begging like never before in the eighth major installment in the storied TIHYDP Resident Evil franchise - TIHYDP Resident Evil Village. Set a one year after the horrifying bankruptcy event in the critically acclaimed DSP bankruptcy saga, the all-new 0utsyder khantent begins with Darksydephil and his wife Khet living paycheck to paycheck in the WAkhando, not free from their past due bills and looming payments. Just as DSP loses 50% of his income from being dropped from Twitch Partnership, tragedy befalls them yet again. Not much this time, just thedeviluk bailing DSP out again with hundreds of dollars while DSP more or less face checks the various "threats" in this game. Not the hardest game at all. But DSP has no clue what the story of this series is and it really does show. God damn. He's played every game basically at this point, he just retains nothing.
My favorite part is when he reads a text log or lore entry and after reading it out verbally to the audience, regurgitates it back in his own words and acts like he deciphered ancient texts or something. Like we didn't just not only read and hear it ourselves, but can't think either. Oh well, he'll take his 200 dollars now please.

I love how Phil talks about game design. If Phil designed a game, it'd be full of NPCs giving him tips on where to go, and if he got lost they'd hold his hand and walk him to the next area. Then during boss fights, the boss would tell him where his weak point is, and then lightly hit Phil. If the boss did too much damage, he'd apologize, heal Phil and then stand still until dead.

Here is the kind of game DSP would design. Take Nintendo games from the past 15 years, especially from the late DS and 3DS eras. Remove all of the good design decisions, all of the good and fun artwork, everything that is actually good and leave only the obnoxious unskippable several minutes if not hours of tutorials. Remove stories, too, because both Nintendo and DSP don't give a shit about good storytelling. There, you got the DSP game.

Dont blame him, you cannot adjust vignette in the settings. Its forced, just like the low FOV. Its plain terrible so that is not DPSs fault since Capcom had the cool idea that its scary to see less. If you play on PC you are forced to use RE Framework to make the game playable, thats how utterly bad it is settings-wise However indeed its dumb of him to not just quickly AT LEAST adjust the brightness at the beginning

Just to put things in perspective, Philburt took about as long to complete the castle portion of the game as most people take to beat the entire game. 7 hours in Lady D’s castle for Dave versus 8-10 hours for an average person’s whole playthrough.

58:00 this was the breaking point for me. The stalling. Two steps, then stop, stare at textures, say something irrelevant, start moving again rinse and repeat, all for no other reason than to make the playthrough last a few more parts, which in his books means 3 extra tips goals. Throughout his career, and ever since he's started making money with gameplay, he's never made any effort to find a way to maximize profit without making it harder for his audience in some way. The practice of rushing through every game and uploading them in a thousands of 10min long parts wasn't that bad after all; at least that wouldn't waste my time or test my patience.

This Playthrough feels like Phil is just going through the motions. His commentary has no passion and feels robotic. It's painfully obvious he is in clock out mode

The RE6 fanboy DSP complains about the Chris segment for being "like an action game" ...riiight. And it's not just DSP either, I love seeing all these streamers complain about a fun 15 minute action segment at the end of the game. By the time you get to the factory you're already able to destroy anything they throw at you instantly as Ethan, at least on standard difficulty that they all play on. But as soon as you switch to Chris the game is terrible apparently.

It was a pretty weak playthrough. DSP barely got mad with the game and got through it relatively easy.

Suddenly remembers that the big hammer lycan still exists and says he'll have to fight him...less than a minute before fighting him. Nah, all the shit Dave's been spewing over the span of the playthrough that coincidentally hits too accurately for a blind playthrough...there's definitely something dodgy going on. There's only so many times it can be considered a coincidence until the shit starts reeking more than usual.

Yeah, his acting is as terrible as his gameplay. I can’t remember what it was right now, but there was another game I saw him play where it was painfully obvious he’d looked at gameplay before hand.
