Yes lamb has a gamey taste and smells very strong. If you buy it rinse it with cold water. Place it in a bowl with water covering it. Then add sea salt, distilled vinegar and let it soak in this solution for a couple of hours 2 hours max . Drain the water rinse the lamb with cold water - this removes the gamey taste and smell I eat lamb chops a lot 😊
