This is how you perform a Battery Adaptation with OBD11

This tutorial will show you how to use your OBD11 app to complete the battery adaptation process that you must complete after changing your car's battery. Failure to do the battery adaptation could result in CEL's & other error codes. These cars are very finicky when it comes to electrical issues, so make sure you do this.

awesome man. These videos you put up make me come to your channel first every time I need to fix/replace/mod something on my car. one idea for a video: i searched today the whole youtube for someone to show how to replace the blower motor(for AC/heat) and couldn't find one. mine went bad this winter and it was not working anymore and the 10% time it was working it was smelling like burned electric. it's 6 screws j(technically 7 screws job to get to it/drop the glove box and one duct). but if you don't know exactly how, it will take 2h like it did for me to figure where and what to take out and whatnot.

Glad I found this, all other videos show Battery type in the Adaptation list, this version is the same as my older pro obdeleven, Ah, Manufacturer and serial no. I wonder if the newer obdeleven allows you to code for a different type?

@@AudiC7Owners I know that there is a way to recalibrate the ACC with OBD11. My ACC is unavailable since I took off my front bumper and started the car. I believe since the radars were not plugged in the system now thinks that radar sensor are misaligned. Any ideas of doing the recalibration with OBD11?

Yea you messed up giving power to the car with everything unplugged. I know there is a vcds process, but I'll have to research into the obd11 capabilities

Hey I have a question, I’m already ordering the OBD11 for my Audi A4 but, I saw the battery on a store here and I believe it was the right one and everything but it said that the battery has to be vented, I don’t know what exactly is that and what I have to do, is it bad if I don’t vent it ? 😅

Your OEM battery is vented, at least on my 7.5 it was. When you pull the cover off your battery youll see a little nipple with a plastic hose running off the battery and down. Just make sure new battery has nipple, plug up hose and done.

I just purchased OBDEleven - there is no "adaptation" screen with the 3 to 4 options to change with dropdowns, only a "long adaptation" with coding only. Did this change since 2021?

If you don't have any errors then I wouldn't mess with it. But make sure you do the adaptation next time. The adaptation should help the battery last longer.

Just change a number on what is in there. You are just telling the ecu a new battery is in the car

Also my car is doing weird stuff... ive just replaced my alternator with the oem hitachi brand... does it need to be coded also? While on the gas and going WOT my voltage drops to 12.6/5v when I let of the gas it goes up to 14.3v back on gas it's drops again... any advice on this?

That is normal voltage

I'd imagine that's dynamic charging, it takes the load of the alternator off the engine while accelerating, puts it back on when cruising or braking.
