This video really shows how great the bradcaster is and the many amazing sounds you can get out it with a good fuzz peddle.

Congrats on the isle of tone, sounds monstrous. I’ve just got a DanDrive and I’m hoping for similar results, just with worse playing

I recommend your older fuzz video all the time. Now a new one! Something to try for a future video: Record you bridge pickup, raise the screw poles 1/8th inch and record, then rotate the pickup 180deg to put the screw poles on the North side and record (make sure pickup height is the same, same strings, same amp). I find having North Side pole pieces on a humbucker gives a great P90 tone while still remaining noiseless, I've converted three HH guitars. Try it out and do a video.

I dig fuzz. For me; I use with the Tele bridge pickup, volume and tone at around 3 o clock, Gain slightly 6 o clock (low), and when I back the volume I love that spiitty sound

Unless you're into super tight metal riffs a fuzz and overdrive is all the distortion pedals you need. My fuzz of choice is the MK II Tone Bender styled ones, they clean up very nicely.
@MikeBradleyofficial
@MikeBradleyofficial 2 жыл бұрын
Ooh very good choice!
@blakemcnamara9105

I would think that an overdrive and a distortion pedal would make more sense since fuzz can be quite extreme.
@choplass
@choplass 2 жыл бұрын
@@blakemcnamara9105 For metal it would be better for a range of crisp distorted tones to early fuzz territory. However if you want that sticky sleazy rock and roll stoner tone, a fuzz like a roided Tone Bender II will get you that range, if it's one like Blackout Effectors Fuzz Bear, you'll go from glassy clean to brutal just by turning the volume knob on your guitar. Heck that fuzz alone can get you low gain tones. Just keep in mind, not all fuzzes clean up the same, the one he played in this vid has a "glassy " clean up, those are generally the ones you'd want to get.

The Mk II Tone Bender is my dream pedal. Want to get one from Macari’s…just gotta save up the $500 and then convince myself to actually buy it lol
@choplass
@choplass 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrDMF567 Yeah, MK II Benders are sweet, they have a deeper tone compared to that of the MK I which in my opinion makes it a bit more versatile, as it can straddle between the bite of classic rock, and scooped muff type modern tones a bit better. I also love the Danelectro 3699 and Source Audio's Kingmaker. even though it doesn't give the glass like clean of the fuzz in this video, it's like having many fuzz pedals in a single enclosure.

Nice tone, Nice jam. I get a lot of tone with one pedal ,mxr distortion plus and a g &l skyhawk and a music man rd112. This sound reminds me of my big muff, I have to find that pedal. Lol. Cool video. I do this same thing without touching the volume knob. I just play lighter with a different touch or feel.

Love the fat cleans of a good fuzz. I have a great "low gain" RCA fuzz from Analogman. On another note: the checking on the Bradcaster is looking good!

Yeah man! I love fuzz. I’m on a bit of a fuzz journey too. My new yr resolution is to buy a new fuzz pedal every month and then sell them and buy a posh version of my favourite! I’ve spent a bit more than initially planned tho! 😂 Faves so far are Pedal Pawn Fuzz and JHS Bender! 🤟🏻🎸

Mike just looking at the Bradcaster. The finish is checking really nicely. Is that just happening organically or did you do something to the finish to get that effect?
@MikeBradleyofficial
@MikeBradleyofficial 2 жыл бұрын
100% organic! I don’t like fake relic guitars, but I love guitars that have been played and have aged the proper way. I’ve been gigging this guitar solidly since things opened up properly here last summer. It’s ageing very well.

Do you think this would work with the in built fuzz pedals on the Boss Katana amp? Bit of a noob at this stuff and don't own a fuzz pedal but have the Katana.
@MikeBradleyofficial
@MikeBradleyofficial 2 жыл бұрын
Good question, not as well really as the katana is a solid state amp. A valve amp is where this really comes alive and you can get the response from the guitar and pedals better.
@Deadhansome

@@MikeBradleyofficial Ah ok. Ah well I'll just have to save up and buy a massively unnecessary valve amp to blow my living room windows out then. 😂😂. Cheers Mike. Lovely playing as always.

@@Deadhansome they make really great low wattage valve amps.No need to blow your windows out.They are still pretty loud though.
