This mic is amazing imo, it has all the features from other mics and more, and it also has good sound quality. love the fact you can mute it from the top of the mic. If i was to buy a new mic now, i would go with this one. Good review frank!

If you stream & using obs studio you look up how too add a noise gate filter and compression filter in obs to cut out keyboard & mouse sounds - if you use discord there is filters in there too

i went from a blue yeti to this and i like it so much better. it's a lot lighter and less clunky/bulky, and i don't have to deal with third party accessories for shock mount and pop filter. the fact those are built in was a big draw for me. especially since the yeti had that really stupid manufacturing issue with the threading size for screwing mounts. plus, this mic looks sleek with the red!

I recently bought the hyperx quadcast, and out of the box in OBS, with no added filters, it doesn't sound too great. I didn't fret at first, but then even adding filters could only do so much for the quality. What settings/filters are recommended for this mic?

I got the hyperX quadcast S and it’s genuinely amazing I’d recommend it to anyone, yeti and snowball are something for someone that has a lower budget 100%. But this mic gives you a lot of benefits for its price! The mic muting, audio adjusting, the headphone jack. Literally makes KZbin videos and streaming significantly simpler!

Solid mic for the price and usability for the average consumer. I've studied audio engineering and for what you're getting here at this price is really solid. Sounds good, plenty of polar pattern options for versatility, included shock mount with no bullshit proprietary mounting options (meaning you can easily mount it to a boom arm or any mic stand)...seems like a no brainer. Looks damn good (RGB version is out noq too) for anyone looking to get into streaming or even voice acting or production without dropping a shit load on a full on mic/interface setup

For the pc i am buying (gonna build one) and the setup i was looking for a good mic and found this.. the mic has already arrive and after i tested it: - top quality - cheap for its quality - has modes which help you make streaming/gaming better - noise cancellation (like keyboard and mouse and pc) If you have the money then go for it. If you have more many and you are ready to spend 500$ for a mic then buy CourageJD’s mic, it is a razer 400$ mic and i have tested it and it is amazing, there is this thing that i liked: When i rage in a game i always hit the mic which annoys others, but with this mic it doesn’t even give the voice when touching it (btw this 400$ mic isn’t mine) ty for reading.

Compared to the audio technica AT2020 the quad has more bass and it has a nicer sound overall IMO but the built in pop filter isn't very good and I could still hear the plosives very clearly, the at2020 is better in that aspect.

Just to point out, not saying this is necessarily the case, but I can tell this guy's got an affinity towards quality. You can tell just look at his camera setup! The Video quality comes in excellently!! He's got a taste for things that seem to do the job quite effectively! So I'd just consider that when taking into account his opinion!! I also can hear how that mic sounds, its' got a punchier Low end, picking up more Bass and Mid sounds and seems overall a much richer, more fuller / present voice overall! Thanks for sharing that mate! You've rather got me intrigued, I'll be looking more into this particular mic! Couldn't have come at a better time!! This KZbin recommended video that is! It seems KZbin's Algorithms have gotten way better, since I was looking into mics and what not, and I'm very glad I got to see this vid before making a purchasing decision! Very helpful, insightful, and an opportunity I'd have missed out on, had I not seen this! I'm very particular with things I get, I mean you can't just get it all, not on a budget that is, and I tend to have buyers remorse! It's often mostly when I've not taken the time to carefully consider all the options and do my research / homework in the various products, even more so in a saturated market, but that's good news for the consumer nonetheless! It means at this time, these sorts of products are in high demand with the rise of more and more streamers, streaming, and such! It's gotten the competition really thinking outside the box and creating much better quality products that suit streaming needs! I still recall a time before all this Internet Gaming / streaming really took off, and there wasn't as many cool things out there to accomplish personal studio setups as much! Definitely not with cool looking colors and that Red Light Glow is just stunning! It's not like those cheap Gimmicky items that throw LED's on something to make it more appealing, it's actually a quality mic first and foremost, but with the benefit of also looking visual pleasing, a nice aesthetic that usually tends to be absent when in the Premium line of things! If you had to Sum it all up, this particular product in a nutshell is "High-Value" for it's price point, your getting excellent sound, built in shock-mount, a nice size and awesome look, with solid engineered metal components all for a very reasonable $130 price point! This is a must get for those who don't want to fuss with getting a mic and needing to get all those additional features separately! Anyways, cheers for that!! Fantastic Video! We live in a time where all this high quality video / audio tech exits for the common average consumer!! It's rather mind blowing when you look back at how even Broadcasting News Studio Cameras and what not back in just the 70's / 80's and even early 90's, how those were multiple thousands and thousands of dollars, but achieved such a lackluster picture in comparison to what even average joes on a modest budget today can accomplish at home!! I'm very into that, into supporting the common consumer! Into a Meritocracy where quality goods are available at reasonable prices for others than just the super wealthy!!
