Not saying 23 year olds are immature but she seems to have lived a sheltered/pampered life and has spent most of her life thinking about herself, so of course the concept of having to be responsible for another living breathing human totally dependent on you scares her!

I love this show! From the comments, I see that many of you think the motherhood instinct comes naturally to all of us. Thank God for shows like this that show you that some of us have to learn or get adjusted to the idea and some people can never even adjust to the idea. Dede is many of us. We are scared, have always been protected and taken care of and we dont know if we can even look after ourselves talk less of another human who is helpless. But we see that when with love and support, we can do anything even if we are not ready for it.

I wouldn't rush her for the pregnancy thing. She will eventually come around and then be bugging him for kids. I'm highly impressed by Dede agreeing to take over while the mom goes to the office. That was very grown up of her. Great episode and I look forward to the next one.

But if you watched Episode 1 she didn't want to get married, she knows she's a child. she's not yet an entrepreneur...she's just trying to get it together. I'm guessing we are going to watch her grow into it this whole thing...or 'them' cos even Tee, going to show up at meetings because she's with another guy, he has to grow to be 'a bit' secure at some point.
