So basically she died from emotional stress, possibly bullying etc. That's a serious issue, I give you that. But it's not exclusive to black people and it's not exclusive to women. Especially not exclusive to the double-whammy as you call it, of black women. I personally know several straight white men who suffered the exact same symptoms. One ended up taking his life, another luckily found people who helped stabilise him. So yeah, as I said, you describe a serious issue that too often gets overlooked/ignored, but it's not as racist/sexist as you make it out to be.

I'm a Black woman who has researched Claudia Gay's career and descent. Gay was born wealthy, Ivy League educated, went to ALL the best schools, lived the life of an elite, she was the epitome of upper classmanship. She had to leave Harvard because of her mistakes and had nothing to do with her race. Just because a black person has difficulty doesn't mean it's because she's black. Sorry, but this video is wrong.

So, she has suffered racism and sexism because was condemn as anybody else in the US society for her actions ? In order to not being racist and sexist, you can't condemn a black woman ? Plagiarism is wrong but if it was a white make would they have looked into it and dug as deep and found the offense to be as intense as they did? The simple answer is no they wouldn’t. He would have celebrated and the offense would have been used to show how hard school was and how the acknowledgment is the least important part of the paper that people spend the least time on and it would have made him “relatable” as opposed to have costed him his job.
