To be a WORLD CLASS city..DBKL should upgrade all major road in around KL with better and modern walk pedestrian for safety and comfort especially for tourist walk around the city..

Indeed. Tourists walk a lot and they often complain about KL sidewalks. If I were DBKL I would prioritise certain areas to enhance the walking experience. For example between Pavilion and the new TRX mall, the sidewalks along Bukit Bintang and fix the areas around Dataran Merdeka with its broken tiles etc.

betul tu DBKL ni hanya tahu tidor saja di pejabat nya .tolong lah tengok walk way di tengah kota tu ok

So true. I was wondering what the people in the Planning and Building Departments of DBKL actually do. Don’t they foresee these issues and learn a thing or two from their overseas trips? Must they only “wake up” after receiving public complaints? Kuala Lumpur has many beautiful high-rises and mega malls, but what needs to be done is to make the pedestrian walkways more conducive for the public.

@styflymalaysia Thank you also for the description, at least now I know that the KLCC masterplan has been revised in 2012 to incorporate new projects like the Lot M Podium. I wonder why many projects in KL are taking too long to complete. The whole part of the first phase for KLCC project took only 5 years to complete from 1993 to 1998. 😁

DBKL should carry out monthly or quarterly townhall with MP and also invited peoples from all locations inside DBKL to air out their complaints and issues. Also DBKL must listen to floor on how they can improve the city infrastructure

What a huge structure. Can't imagine how Tower M will look like when it sit on the podium. Surely it will beat KL118 to become the new Kuala Lumpur tallest skyscraper.

2:28 sedih tengok menara TM. Nampak sangat buruk nya. Kenapalah TNB tak ambil je jadi HQ daripada bina bangunan HQ yg baru tu.. harap jgn lah sampai keluar berita menara TM nak dirobohkan..

Okay i understand the new buildings but they need to focus on upgrade and maintain the current buildings too, the old stations and pedestrian area. Its sad to see a wonderful building but our transportation looks sad.

Why not make it the tallest? If they're going to do 700m or 775m.. might as well top 828m (Burj Khalifa) or 1000m (Jeddah Tower).. KL is much more exciting than Dubai anyway. It'll undoubtedly annoy the Gulf Arabs.

It is a good idea. KL can do that actually… But you know la these two Arab countries are always fighting for the tallest, the biggest title and etc etc… Malaysia scared later that these two Arab countries will hold grudges against Malaysia thinking we want to hijack the title…😂😂
