@@BudgetPedalChap i see that could very well be. just watched some videos on the MI pedal. however never heard about MI audio before. btw i have been stuck in a loop of taking the joyo off my board and putting the ds-1 back on it and then reversing the process for a couple of month now lol

Nice one. I use a line 6 Variax, but only with the magnetic pickups so it's essentially a strat 👍

It is quite a hearty gain stage. It lacks the refinement to be a "go to" but very usable and buckets o fun 👍
