I was having that same issue with the alternator and battery in my 83 Malibu. I changed the whole top end of the engine to vortec heads, carb’d intake and changed the v-belt accessories to the serpentine (1-belt) accessories and turns out the alternator wasn’t wired correctly. Took me 3 months, 4 new alternators (on warranty), and 3 batteries before I figured out it was just the alternator wiring so I’d definitely recheck your alternator wires

I ended up changing the battery and alternator as well and it was the alternator wiring the entire time but the battery was bad anyway

Those cars don't have a self igniting alternator so you can start that car and it'll run until the battery dies unless you get it to 1000rpm to get the alternator working.

what up young man i just started following ur channel u might want to try and Get another alternator see if that helps ur charge along with a new Battry to ok i Hope i help yall out with it if u planning on putting that high power music up in there with a custom buld trunk then u will need a Big amps alternator so it wont drain your barrty down ok and when u get it Right Right hit for us one time get it sideways i got a couple of old schools myself ok i love ur first vedio man ok i no u got more out there but this is the first one for me to see ok be yall be safe down there ok later on

On your headliner try some rust reverse then put a few layers of fiberglass to protect it. Nice ride with lots of potential
