Yeah, he is centuries behind mathematics. Does not matter, though. America is done as a whole. Nobody knows how to calculate stuff anymore since when? Since they invented the handheld calculator in the seventies. So, if U parents do not know, how does a simple blogger like Mr. Gilder know something, that even his best classmates battled with. The programming on S1 is actually very god. But Joe looks like he is trying to understand that from a person, who knows nothing. Ok, Joe. Still love U inputs on how things work. U go to the very basics. Sort of. But, then.. U wanna be anutha Clapton God of music or what. It seems that Presonus tries to get U there. And therefore: Presonus awarded me a lifelong non-membership. Jirrzz.

Interesting video. I have to confess that I have never used the native reverbs in Studio One. I’ll have to start!

Indeed. I admit being blinded by "big name" reverbs, while there's so much quality to the S1 stock plugins.

Room Reverb is honestly my favorite reverb to use. I would want to try this technique with a sidechain compressor, or maybe even sidechain an Expander or Gate to see where that gets me.

It sounds so lovely on this soft rock vibe, but I'd love to know how to use reverb on a more classic rock sound.

Thanks Joe- you are the man!💪 I am asking in advance for as many tutorials as possible on early/late reflections, which are so important and add a finishing touch to the mix👌. Greetings from Robert.🤩

Love this. Do you have any effects on when. you do the initail recording - just for "inspiration" or is it completely dry?

I'm curious if there's a setting in Studio One that allows for a much more pronounced visual distinction when a track is selected on the timeline and corresponds to a track in the mixer. Currently, it slightly brightens, but when dealing with numerous tracks, each with distinct colors, it's often challenging to discern which one is selected without having to click on the track in the timeline and then navigate to the mix window. I'm hopeful that there's a way to significantly enhance this visual indication or make it exceptionally clear which track is selected in the mix window.

This almost gets it done for me (after the failure of all other reverbs) to produce anything remotely similar to the real thing. Alas, that's what i'm after. A true cathedral acoustic, the natural venue of my music. This flat plate method actually gets _much_ closer than roomverb's 'hall cathedral' presets, and the convolutions trigger my gag reflex. The only fly in the ointment in this flat plate method is the ringing sound in the tail, which I have not found a way to get rid of - this is true in any reverb, but is absent in the real world version of that acoustic. I'm open to ideas, but truth be told, this method is working surprisingly well otherwise.

I am so sorry to tell you Joe but there is no electricity on a desert island. Perhaps you can use the bicycle technique like Gilligan. Seriously, I always forget to tell you when you give examples using music, whether your own or others, it is always good, tasteful quality music instead of the copy/paste sample-beats over-compressed hip/hop crap others use for demos.

Day 1 of requesting the S1 team to upgrade the S1 GUI and update the Sample One . It's not enough, I keep on having to use Ableton Simpler for most of my sampling, sample sliceing needs.
