Sweet, I got one on the way. How do you have it to where you can't see the pole in your footage?

It's a 360 camera! the software does some magic to crop out the pole in the footage! I use an Insta360 One X2, but if I were buying one in 2024/5, I'd go with the X3 or X4

If you want a review video with all the technicals, like I specifically mentioned in the video, go watch someone else. This isn't the review for you. I don't care about all that, I care about the ride experience, which Is way more important than a spreadsheet of specs imo. It's not about raising the bar, it's about cutting out the BS and focusing on what matters. I will confirm the range when I get a chance to test it. It has been snowy out lately and I haven't gotten that chance.

Just got an email from Backfire reporting the Nalu having battery issues and, as a result, shipment has been delayed an additional 40 days. What a bummer :(

Aww man, that really is a bummer! I have noticed my battery life is relatively short compared to what they're advertising (still works for my short commutes), so I do hope they really get that figured out, as battery life will absolutely make or break this board. I hope you get your board soon!

For my needs, the current battery issue doesn't matter. correct. This comment was inferring that they are having other battery issues, which I took as meaning its even poorer battery than advertised. If that is the case, that will definitely make or break the board for a lot of people, maybe not me, but for many.

@@OgdenSikel This is what Backfire sent me: "Recently, our battery supplier informed us that a mixed quality issue was identified in the battery cells used in the first batch of 500 Backfire Nalu Electric Skateboards. Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with our safety-first approach, Backfire is initiating a voluntary recall of all Backfire Nalu units.... Deliveries will be delayed by approximately 40 days to accommodate the production of the new batch with updated batteries."

Nice video, Backfire came out with a cool board I like the surf skate concept, and weight... unfortunately for the price hard pass

The price unfortunately will be the downfall of the board, especially with competitors like meepo crushing it. If they can price this thing at 400 or 350 (which may be unrealistic given their margins), this thing would sell like hotcakes

There is no battery on the bottom of the board; the text is pointing to an outline of where a battery would normally be on a board...are you a little slow?
