Stumbled upon this purely by accident and don't regret it at all. This is super impressive to me as someone who just builds silly little houses or towers and that's really about it

Building with axiom is definitly more similar to3d modelling than traditional Minecraft building, which is why i like it tbh. it takes the tedium out of placing each individual block, however, you still can go really granular with regular minecraft build. It definitely sparked my love of building in minecraft again
@ohaderАй бұрын
4:19 completely relatable, every single time i build i remember its a superflat world and need to move it up like 30 blocks also, i didnt see you doing this soo the way to change the flight is that little slider on the right side of the alt menu, and the tinker tool works essentially like the debug stick w different block states: ie changing a barrel to open or closed, turning around stairs etc. hope that helped, loved the build :3
@BinnishАй бұрын
Thank you very much! I ended up figuring that out eventually after an embarrassing amount of time XD

you can use the superflat type preset "overworld" or make a custom preset to achieve a superflat world with more layers below

Yeah… Axiom definitely takes the building process more into the realm of something akin to 3D modeling, rather than up close, in person, block by block placement, like you do in survival. It’s definitely a change, but if you can get used to the idea of suddenly 3D modeling in Mc, instead of building, I think it’s easier to grasp, at least for me personally. This is what I love about Axiom though, in addition to the fact it has all the major aspects from each major, large scale building tool, all in one tool. You can do pretty much anything WE, Voxel Sniper, and Loft can do, inside Axiom, which is such a relief to me. Also funny you mention sculpting, because that’s exactly how the process goes in building large scale organics. Wireframe, build up of materials, smooth down, refine shape, (usually by hand), and detail. I love when different mediums cross over like this

this is actually like, really cool :O i've been really wanting to learn axiom but so far have really struggled with it (mostly because i'm dumb and socially inept and terrified of asking ppl to show me stuff)... it's actually really refreshing seeing that you also had trouble with it, because so far whenever I see or meet someone who uses axiom they say how "easy" and "intuitive" it is when for me it very much is not. xDDD so thank you for sharing your struggles as well as your success... i might try to learn again. :3 -- also!!! just an FYI in case you haven't heard yet... youtube changed the algorithm again so now it's only pushing brand new channels and channels with 40k+ subscribers (the 40k thing is my own estimate cuz that's those are the smallest channels that pop up in my recommended feed now... the only reason I saw this video is because I had the bell clicked). idk if anyone's trying to fix it or not rn, but i figured you should know to expect lower views than a video like this would've gotten in the past (unless u don't care abt views, in which case slay xDDD)

Thank you very much!! I'm glad it was relatable, there definitely was a lot of undoing and redoing and mistakes that I cut out 😅 And thank you for the information, that's very interesting, I'll have to look into that!

@@Binnishthanks for this fun and relatable intro to Axiom :) subbed! In regards of the KZbin algorithm - I highly recommend looking up the talk by the Patreon founder Jack Conte „Death of the Follow - the future of creativity on the web“. There’s HUGE meta stuff going on regarding recommendations and subscriptions that are entirely unrelated to your quality and content of anyone’s channel. Tommyinit (15 mio sub Minecraft KZbinr) has a recent video about it too called „KZbin has changed“

And here we have a perfect example of why does the soap, yes the one you use to wash your hands, still in 2024 comes with instructions on how to use it. No matter how hard we worked on the documentation, nor the extensive amount of tutorials out there about Axiom, people will be out there trying to fit a square peg into a round hole... I don't doubt by your previous videos that you have the skills needed to make amazing things, but giving yourself a least ONE day to learn the tool could yield much better results.

I love the tool, and I love going in blind. It's funner to try it out, and dive in with no idea what to expect. Plus, would you watch a video where I said hey, I learned a thing, built a thing, bye! It's much more entertaining for me and the viewer like this. Ofc if someone genuinely wants to learn the software to be the best they can be, there are so many resources to do that with. I made this video to mess around and have fun, I'm not trying to be perfect!

how did you make the boats like rotated ad tilted because i cant figure out how to rotate and tilt things
@BinnishАй бұрын
I made the boat facing one way, and copied and pasted it. There's a little box in the top right you can tick that says unlock rotation, and you can move it freely! Then I just went in and made it look less janky
