I recently moved back from Europe to the USA. We lived 6 years in Germany and 1 year in France. One of the many things I respect about Germany is how they don’t hide what happened in WWII. They teach to all of their students the horrors committed by Germany at that time. They don’t want to repeat those mistakes again in future generations. The students are adjusted and wiser with the knowledge of what former generations did and why. To conceal the facts and the truth of history is a tremendous mistake and a foolish choice which serves no good outcome.
