Couldn't agree more about the fact that our phones are the most used EDC tool we carry! I always make sure to bring my phone's wall charger as well as have an Anker power bank either in my bag or inside my car!

I had the same mentality of concern with data collection, but my mentality was just to use a portable battery. Charge your phone with a battery and charge the battery when you’re not charging your phone.

Agreed. Got that same cable and a 10.000mha powerbank that, when needed, can also be charged with solar.

I rarely leave the house without my TNTOR 5000mah slim power bank. I’ve had it for 2 and half years and it still works really well. One thing I’ve learnt with regards to power banks sometimes smaller capacity is better if or when you have the opportunity to recharge it. Obviously small capacity means quicker recharging. The Lever gear cable kit as made a return to my edc recently. Fits nicely in my arc company bolder wallet or in the fifth pocket on jeans. Also the Mu folding plug is awesome and the slimmest UK portable plug I’ve found so far.

What do you think about Budi multifunctional adapter kit ? Have you tried Incharge X ?
@MichaelB2L
@MichaelB2L Жыл бұрын
@@Pritam043 I’ve not tried the Budi kit. I recently got an incharge x. I haven’t used it much but it works great, feels very well made and gives me that reassurance I can charge pretty much anything if I have access to a USB power source. And it so tiny considering it’s capabilities.

In my EDC backpack I carry a 20,000 mAh power bank along with Anker cables and an Anker wall charger. I never plug my phone in anywhere unless I use the power bank or wall charger if the power bank is near dead (very rare). To back up my phone I only use my main PC disconnected from the net and my phone disconnected from wifi and data. I never connect to wifi outside my home either. And my data is turned off unless I need it; which is rare.

after 16 hours my phone is usually sitting at 40-50%. have a charger in my car and backpack. try leaving battery saver modes on or consider replacing your battery or getting a new phone if it can't make it 24 hours of moderate use.

I have 3 power banks in various sizes, and depending what I anticipate my needs will be I take the appropriate power supply. I also have USB ports in my car which is great. It's really not a great feeling when you have to power down your phone because your battery is at 19%.

I started using battery banks, magnetic chargers and other charging bricks when traveling or staying in any place that wasn’t my home…..It all started 5 years ago for me,Because I’ve always felt unsafe charging my stuff when traveling…..Apple used to have those phone cases that had built in chargers before MagSafe was a thing…..I’m glad MagSafe is a thing now.

One inexpensive tip that I'd add is not accepting charging cables from untrustworthy parties. O. MG cables are a thing, and if you're concerned about it, you can always get a data-blocker USB-C cable.

Anker 521 is my absolute go to for on the move power. 45w charging solo or 2 20w ports plus 5000mah power bank. All in one small block. Not a fan of MagSafe power banks as most of the power is wasted and a 5000mah battery only gives you about a 60% charge.

I'm glad you coved this topic. I'm into hacking (ethically) RFID blocker wallets and bags, not keeping NFC on, not keeping Bluetooth and wifi and only sharing wifi hotspot with trusted people are are also useful tips if being hacked is something you worry about. If you keep your cards in non protected wallets, I can walk by you and grab your card info and copy it onto a blank card (think of a hotel room key) and then chaos ensues. Same goes for security access cards. Amongst other common tactics and techniques used to scan for unprotected sensitive information. Just FYI 😁

I think you’re focusing on the wrong items. Wireless battery banks are cool and all but they charge soooo slow in a world of fast charging iPhones and other androids. I would much rather carry a fast charging brick with a fast charging cable and charge my phone from 0-80% in like 30 minutes. Versus carrying your phone with a brick attached to the back ALL day lol. Fast charge and go
