but seriously you could fix/improve the quantization of the Beat FX on either the Master or individual channel of DJM-900nxs2 if you PRO DJ LINK the DJM mixer to the sp-16 but oi don't think the sp-16's PRO LINK abilities work without other CDJs in the mix (the DJS-1000 could do with sans players)

I will never understand how/WHY so many people can't differentiate live/original music from what most DJ's do. Sad to me, as a musician. They are both "skills", but one takes a HELL of a lot more creativity, risk, and imagination, overall. Just my opinion.

@@JollUsARoint you dont need any gear besides your computer and some cheap midi keyboard. Headphones go a long way too. You can make music like any producer on the planet this way. The software you can get for free from the internet lol

It can be more difficult to creatively mix other peoples tracks than to create a simple track. Both professions can span the spectrum of very simple, to very intriquite and complex. Some producers are better off leaving others to DJ their music and visa versa.

I really want to do something like this with my polyan tracker My circuit rhythm and my MPC live to but I can't exactly figure out how to connect them all in a way that makes sense I have a MIDI keyboard just like that and I also have a behringer K2 which is I guess supposed to be the behringer version of the Korg MS20 I can't even begin to figure out how to get that into a loop with all those other groove boxes and samplers I just mentioned. I'm thinking I could use the Polyend as the sequencer, going into the MPC triggering samples and then from the MPC to the circuit rhythm to use its on board perf fx. Somehow also using the Polyend to sequence the k2 or using the MPC to do it im not sure which. Honestly not even sure if any of what I just said makes complete sense but I have got it pretty much close to how I want it to work The only problem I keep running into is that it doesn't really have a flow to it so it takes a lot more menu diving and other things that would throw off a freestyle flow. That's the main thing I'm trying to figure out how to eliminate because I know I already have all the gear that I need which in reality I probably have more than I need but once you get locked into a serious gear collection the tendency is to push it as far as it can go😂

Thanks for explaining I have been wondering what all that gear does. But, couldn't it all be done in MIDI from a DAW sent to synths and drum machines? That is what I do. I don't know why I would need $500 plus sequencers.

Yes indeed you can program all your midi inside a DAW, it's just another way to do it. At least from my point of view, working with analog gear in your hands feels better, for some it boosts creativity, and also sequencers have different workflows, you may use the best that suits your style

Might not be but Pretty sure that that's the Donna 32key they are well cheap I had one for a bit I remember them having an issue with changing the midi channel but could be fixed by now he's probably using the squid seq to get around the midi thing, I ended up with the arturia was better all round akai also do a very small keyboard too
