I fixed a pressure contact on a smartphone with some copper tape and conductive epoxy once. It was never the same as right out of the box, but it was good enough for government work.

Great job. That had no right to have worked. Ingenuity at its best. As a surface mount component you can use an oven, perhaps a toaster oven, to reflow all the solder. You may need flux to get it to work properly. Here's hoping you find your soldering kit soon.

I did this with my Dodge Grand Caravan key fob. The 2 sensors for the Unlock and Lock were sliding after a certain amount of time. I had to keep sliding them back in place. So I used Super Glue to keep them in place.

Hey Joe, During PCB manufacture, surface-mount components are often glued in place before they go through wave solder baths (or other soldering processes). You made your life difficult here. 1). Remove all the old solder from the pads on the board and switch by using an iron and solder wick. If you don't have any wick, melt the solder and wipe it away quickly with a damp cloth or the damp sponge (if you have one) that you use to clean your iron tip. 2). Do the same for the feet of the switch. 3). Using a toothpick (or similar), place a dab of superglue under where the centre of the switch will go. 4). Carefully place the switch in position. Hold it there with the clean end of the cocktail switch, and give it a quick spritz with Kicker/Accelerator. (If you don't have that, just breathe on it for 20s or so). 5). Apply fresh solder to the pads - all done. There are other ways to do this, but you already have this stuff to hand, so... Cheers, Susi. xx

Why not just hold the switch with the tweezers while soldering one of the pins?

You should glue it back together and duct tape it for maximum twisting power.Trim the key so the tape doesn't jam the key port.

a heat gun would work fine, or a monitored (visually and thermally) toaster oven (repurposed as a reflow oven) - i know some engineering folks who go thrifting to find an old one specific to this purpose to avoid the arguably minor risk of led poisoning (at least if you only use it once or twice).

Just be aware, when you heat CA adhesive, it denatures into cyanide gas, (EEEK!). Not a great issue with the amounts you used, but something to think about.
