Well, Builders don't want to build homes under 300k. they only want to build 400k homes. increasing the supply of 400k+ homes is also not going to solve the problem.

The $25,000 will turn 300k homes into 400k and the same with 400k to 500k. I don’t think builders could build homes in the 300k range, it would need to be a smaller home but with the cost of materials and labor, it probably doesn’t make sense. the people who own homes in the 300k range typically sell and purchase 400k+ homes. Are you strictly looking for new construction or are you looking at resale homes as well?
