I heard the beeping from your board and saw your duty cycle meter hit 95 and I just though "yep, hes wiping out" You've got balls for doing that, though! I wouldn't even dare push my board past 70 percent duty

What a great race Nico, great ending and sportsmanship. May I ask why you decide not to race on the THOR Vow System Float Life board with trail pro 2? Is it because personal preference? That board did 43.2 mph or 69 .5kmh top speed with top duty cycle.
@nicoaleman8 ай бұрын
The start of the race is dramatic and it really helps to get the holeshot if you can keep pace on the trail, but it's far from the most important aspect of the race. My performance is a good example of that considering I started in last and managed to work up to 6th place haha. So it makes the most sense to run the board you're fastest and most comfortable on for the 7 miles of trails following the holeshot. The VOW was still setup with low riders which don't have enough clearance to be great for aggressive trail racing, and I don't have any GT-compatible Control Freaks setup (my preferred footholds). If I had backed off a tad, I still would've entered the trails first on my personal board, I just got too greedy haha.

What was that button remote you were holding? Something for VESC? Sick Skillz!
@nicoaleman8 ай бұрын
A remote for Remote Tilt! BKB Voyager Remote technically. With VESC-based boards, you can use a remote to control the tilt of the board in real time separate from my body movements, allowing me to do things like accelerate while raising the nose, clear my tail before downhills, and stiffen my board up as needed 👌 The extra control is a game changer for me, so much fun

Floaty actually froze once I hit around 30mph at the start 😂 Also had Metr running as backup logs, and it recorded the whole ride, but the time is skewed throughout for some reason so there's no good way to time sync the data. No idea why, bit unfortunate that both logs failed 🥲
