You are in luck, the bootleg Spider-man 2099 is pretty amazing for only $15-$16. I just got him and he's almost as good as the real one minus some imperfections on the paint and a bit smaller.

Fun fact: the bootleg 2099 fig is actually better, not only is the scale more accurate, but the skin tone on the unmasked heads is more accurate, to! Not to mention the lack of a clunky solid-plastic cape!

a lot of times bootleggers will take the actual figure and use the parts to make their own molds. this is probably why the scale is slightly smaller because a copy will always be a bit smaller when you make your own mold using the original. alternatively, they may swap in parts from other figures as well. sometimes both. On occasions, however they may use the factory molds with their own custom materials,. generally after hours. when the factory has closed. This last one is actually what happened with the rather infamous NECA Ninja Turtles bootlegs.

I actually got this CT bootleg after getting the SHF Spider-Gwen rooftop version just for the accessories. Actually the hands and webs fit to the SHF figure without issue! I didnt even notice they are smaller until I watch your video. I literally have no complaints about this bootleg for its accessories by paying only 11CAD shipment included.

My method is using adhesive latex mixed with water. Apply a thin layer on the area you want and leave overnight. The mixture will turn transparent when dried. It's removable so no need to worry about applying too much.

with legit figures, it's really the color you pay for. the color is beautiful. With CT ones, it's good but could use a paint job. but that's me, I customize Gundams and paint minis so I'm particular about that. my CT Miles Morales is still unpainted and I still love him, looking for a Gwen One

@@SpicyPsyDuck OK 50 cent army. It's something I read in a blog from a legal company that tries to enforce legal protections for IP in China. I doubt I would find it again. It is also legal to copy stuff in China if the company doesn't have a written contract that says the Chinese factory can't copy it. Not that it matters, Chinese will copy it any way, legal or not.

Always, the shrinking in size which happens lot with ko has nothing to do the legal issues, not that would deter any attempt which you are correct, is a common problem when you trying to create the injection mold without the original, we called it "缩模", literally "shrinking mold".
