@@Gundemonium I would say so yes. I expect this controller to have a defect if being honest, I just hope they can fix it through firmware. It's not unplayable but for anyone sensitive to those hiccups, it's hard to miss.

Yo lo acabo de comprar y tengo varios días usándolos. Desde que me llegó, lo he actualizado dos veces y aun así sigue teniendo problemas de latencia y desconexión como te pasó en el video. Creí que el mío había salido defectuoso, pero aparentemente tiene problemas de controlador. Y también lo use con cable, y aún así tuve cortes y problemas de latencia. También el modo android, no me mapea bien los botones.

Man, i was looking for a cheap telescopic controller for my phone and was about to buy the gamesir x2s. But thanks to your videos i ended up getting the USB C version of the Memo s3 and it's amazing. Sad to see the Bluetooth version is not up to the standard. Thanks for the reviews and keep it coming.

I don't have one per say but I did open it and it's a ribbon cable in there, not coils so extending it might be complicated beyond just undoing the stretch mechanism.

Nothing in the pipeline as of yet but it's only a question of time. TMR, hair triggers, 4 back buttons. The telescopic controller market has so much room to grow still, companies will want to not wait too long because if they don't do it, some company else will and that'll mean less money for them.

I'd like to mention that Bluetooth gamepad latency on Android depends a lot on what device you're using. I've had an ipega pg 9129 (really low-end cheap widely available android gamepads in the market here) and it had awful latency on my outdated Poco f1. After upgrading to a 2024 phone, it was miles better and consistent, I could play Crosscode android port with it (the game is very fast paced). I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software phenomenon but this is my experience

You are correct. There are many components that come into play, the controller is one, that is why usually, a tester will keep the same testing parameters to try to isolate the product being reviewed as much as possible but even when doing that, compatibility can still play a factor. To your point, maybe my environment was specifically causing issues with this controller, or maybe it just didn't play nicely with the specific devices I used them with. It's unlikely, but it's not impossible. That said, it might also be why your iPega worked better on a newer phone, it might be that your older phone did not have the same version of bluetooth, that your controller had a more recent one and so did your newer phone, bringing both devices to better feature compatibility. That's disappointing. I feel like this has to be a firmware issue or something. I'm in the market for my first controller and I use an ipad Pro 11 + Windows 12" Tablet. Which ones would you recommend for something so large? Seems the G8+ is the best at the higher price range. While a Memo Tablet or BSP are in the value range.

The Memo S3 tablet will not work on the 12" and if it does on the 11", it's going to be a very VERY tight fit. I would suggest looking into the BSP D8 Pro if you want an alternative to the G8+ that will work for 11" and 12" tablets.

Admittedly I'm not a pro gamer like Klef; but, I've never noticed Bluetooth hiccups like that before with any of my Bluetooth controllers. That looks annoying. Thanks for saving me a few dollars.

Glad it helped you save a few dollars. Bluetooth is often prone to a bit of latency but I feel that as gamers, we can anticipate the buffer and adjust subconsciously but signal drops, however short they may be, is something that bothers me too much and is definitely annoying. Thanks Matt!

Honestly, if everything works great, you're best to sit the upgrade out. There's no feature to gain and whatever it fixes seems to not need fixing for you, I'd leave it be.

I like the X10 better but quite frankly, I am probably in the minority. Lots of people will prefer the Ultimate 2C because of phenomenal latency but I do find that it falls short for everything else in comparison.

@@04cassius-jake Have you considered some of the BSP? Ergonomics seem to be quite important for you, the BSP-D9 is pretty good at ergonomics and feel, it just has a build quality that reflect its pricepoint but otherwise a very good product!

Yup. They took off the connector, they added the Switch mode and somehow they made bluetooth less reliable, not that it is great in the USB-C version but at least it doesn't stutter like that. That controller is not what I was hoping for it to be if being honest.
