OH you are not the only one with tears in your eyes the entire journaling community here has a very heavy heart, It has been my first year here but I'm going back to previous years to keep Dephemrember going longer. My favorite part was you and Luise voice over for each other, I don't know if you have a Christmas in July over there but we do here in Australia I would love you lovely ladies to do a July something, my only criticism besides it being too short I wish December had 50 days, I need to add a few more supplies to my journaling life, I'm trying to justify my addiction by pretending to blame you and Luise.😂😂😉 .

I thoroughly enjoyed each of yours and Luise's videos in this Dephemerember series! It was my first time participating, and I was even brave enough to swap journals too! You made the prompts easy enough for all skill levels but also in a way that challenged us to try new techniques and think outside of our usual style. Your laughter and frustrations kept it "real" and helped us to see that even mishaps and imperfect creations are beautiful and useful. You both put so much time, talent and effort into each part of this challenge...from the videos to the theme song to the printable freebies...each bit was special. I personally liked the fact that there was no specific creature that needed to be a part of the making process because it kept our options open for putting our own spin on each day's prompts so it could be more easily matched to our own journal style we were using. I am now going to start viewing previous years Dephemerember videos so I can include more prompts into new journals and expand my creative abilities. Barbara, I am also sad to see the end of Dephemerember! You and Luise are so amazing in creativity! I know it takes a lot of time to do this whole month of collaboration but you and Luise should do more often. Even if it’s just say a challenge once every now and again. I love how your tag turned out and that you kept trying different ideas until you got it where you liked it. This year's Dephemerember has been super inspiring, I really liked your schedule of four videos in a row, although I realize that had to be a ton of work for you both. It seemed like you really talked through your thought process and I so enjoy that because it helps me learn new ways of creating. Hello from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦! I love Dephemerember and watch it every year. I am always inspired to get a new junk journal going because of you and Louise. I love how different your styles are but how much they compliment each other. My favorite part is watching you make the journals. I really liked how you made one for each other. I enjoyed the theme last year but I also liked the lack of theme this year as well It's good to mix it up. My only critique is to slow down when you are adding your finished ephemera to your journal I don't know why but I love seeing your finished work on different pages and how they would look on that page. I'd would love an extra few seconds of picking the page :) love you guys!

From OH NO to I'm So Clever! Perfect way to end Dephemerember. You are so inspiring the way you just keep going until you get something you are satisfied with. I think this year the prompts were much more diverse, interesting and challenging. I couldn't imagine how you were going to do some of them. I think it was a good idea to just do 4 a week. Ienjoyed the generap prompts this year. I think it pushed me to be more creative rather than working around a specific character theme. Suggestions for l next year add least favorite color, a cartoon, and pick 2 out of 3. Loved the challenges of black out poetry, black and white and slow stitching. I just love everything about Dephemerember. I think my favorite parts are where you introduce a totally new thing that I've never heard of, that I have to really use my brain. This was "AMAZING." I loved watching how you worked the problem till you fell in love with your prompt. I didn't love my graffiti prompt, you have inspired me to go back to it and try some more. Thank you to you and to Luise for a wonderful Dephemerember year. I loved this year even more. The four prompts a week was a nicer pace for me. I wasn't as overwhelmed and could play catch up, crafting and watching videos on the days off. The only constructive criticism I could give would be.....maybe number the prompts not by date? I did get a little confused with some people saying, for instance prompt 6 while others said prompt 10 for Dec 10th prompt. This was minor but since you are asking I dug deep for something. We all appreciate the tonnes of work and heart you and Luise put into this annual event. I feel fullfilled I finshed yet sad it is done! ❤❤😊😢

I had so much fun doing this my first year. The prompts made me stretch my ideas to new lengths. The freebies made working on the prompts easier but the option to use your own items was nice. My crafts items ended up being something I would have never thought of on my own. I grew in my skills and it gave me more conference to try anything. The sky is the limit. This was my second year watching. Over the years, I did scrapbooking . You both were my intro to junk Journaling. I fell in love instantly. Last year's theme with Efie being the focus drew me in whole heart and soul. Both of your creations Last year had more purpose and meaning. Barbara, you have inspired me, at almost 70, to start doing paper art. I’ve been junk journaling, making Christmas card tags etc. Now I am amassing tiny journals to sell for my daughter who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. My favorite part of Dephemerember is seeing how differently everyone interprets the prompts and how things turn out in the end of each day. Because of the hashtags, I’ve found other artists as well and seeing how they do things is great also. This was my first Dephemerember and I truly loved it all! I laughed so much and when I would laugh, my husband (in the other room) would laugh at me laughing, and it was just a full circle. I honestly have no criticisms. I especially love the longer videos because I put them on while I’m in my own craft room. Honestly, I think you both hit it out of the park. Now I’m hooked on Dephemerember.

This is my second year watching you and Luise create masterpieces with Dephemerember prompts. I really enjoyed this year's event, and it was evident how hard you guys worked to make it special for us. From all of the freebies you gave us, to the prompt list, and all of the editing behind the scenes, I would say we are very spoiled. I especially noticed that you sped the video up when there were repetitive processes to complete. I really appreciated that. I love how thoroughly you both explained things, and let us see your mistakes along the way. You are both so down to earth and real in your videos. I know I am not the only one who gets emotional when you get emotional. I find that really brave and wonderful of you to share. I was excited to see that there is an impromptu livestream that I need to watch. It was a suggestion I had in the very beginning and I am so happy you did it. Oh my! dephemerember is over again. I feel like you and Luise just get better and better at planning and organizing this event. I have participated all 4 years and have grown with each one. I love the way you both share your deep friendship with this community. I appreciate your vulnerability when you make a mistake or don’t have a specific idea about a prompt. That is so true and authentic as a crafter. I have enjoyed how you started last year with making the basket for scraps and trading scraps, Ephy and all. And this year in the videos when you made the journals for each other. Even those challenged me to try new things and experiment. And it seems there were more freebies and discounts this year. The pace of prompts with the longer weekends felt just right to me. (Even though I am left wanting more for January😍😜) The biggest challenge for me is not in your planning but my own critical voice. I’m working with her…. I like to do a prompt first myself then watch your videos and will use January to try some of the new ideas you and Luise inspired Thank you and I hope you will have the energy and inspiration to offer Depehemerember in 2025!

This was my first time doing this and I’m so glad I’ve found you two!!! From learning what ephemera is to learning how to do things without all the fancy thing (supplies) feeling just as important to you both as everyone else does you have made me feel included. The one theme throughout was always encouragement that what we do -our art - is just as important as anything because it’s just that OUR art. And for that, I thank you so much. Barbara, i needed to add something else. My husband was making fun of me that all I was doing was playing with stickers and doing stuff we 'did in grade school' and it hurt so much. One night I was watching you on you tube in our bedroom on the tv. He came in and it was the one that (maybe it wasn't dephemerember) you put a sticker on and said that what you do is art, what you create is art and it's just as important, and don't let anyone tell you anything different. He heard that and apologized to me for saying what he said. I think at that moment, him hearing you say that made him see that it is more than just stickers, papers and glue. And for that, I think you so much. What timing that was!!

Wow! This has been the best Dephemerember so far! I have been a loyal watcher of all of them, but this year I participated more than ever because I really needed a challenge. Best parts of this year: the variety of materials and techniques, the freebies, the discounts and of course laughing and crying along with both of you! Something I would like you to add or change: maybe add Barbara's challenge prompt to Luise and vice versa. One prompt from each of you to challenge the other. I recently discovered junk journaling, and was so lucky to stumble across one of Barbara's videos a little before December where she was explaining what Dephemerember is, and I was very curious as to what it was all about. I have watched many of Barbara's and Luise's videos since then, and needless to say watched every one of the Dephemerember videos from both of you, with great anticipation and excitement. I love what both of you have created, not only the Dephemerember event, but also both journals which you made for each other and ALL of the ephemera. I appreciate seeing your creative processes, both successes and semi-failures (I don't consider anything either of you have created to be a failure), your different styles, and hearing your stories, and the addition of the song is just the cherry on top. I absolutely love all of it! I really can't think of anything to critique, it has just all seemed magical to me. One thing that I would like to see is more of a random pairing of the type of ephemera and theme, like make two sets of drawing lists (one for ephemera and one for theme, Barbara has one and Luise the other) and video you both drawing them to make the list, I think that would be really fun! Anyhoo, thank you so much to you both for creating this fun event, and bringing so many people together from all over the world! Much love to you both!

I really felt like you and Luise made this Dephemerember really accessible for both new and seasoned makers. You both explained very well. Making the journal to swap with a friend was a highlight for me too. I don’t think I could ever get tired of watching either of you build a journal and create pretty things inside. I liked the 4 day format too. I will still be doing my prompts for a while due to getting busy this month with work. I am ok with that anyway since I am a slow crafter. The 4 day schedule allowed me plenty of time to watch your videos and other participants videos as well. I am always so sad when it is over! This is my first year doing Dephemerember as I just started junk journaling a little over a year ago. It was wonderful to participate! I learned so much. It was just enough to give me goals to work through to challenge me, yet not overwhelm me. I really enjoyed it being only 4 days a week, as that gave me time to think, to watch the Dephemerember Inspirations group to see what others had created, and to catch up doing the prompts. I really enjoyed how both of you keep mistakes in your videos ( things that did not turn out the way you had envisioned) and then we were able to see how you “fixed” them. I really enjoyed the freebies, especially because it made it easier for me to follow the prompts. And your love and respect for each other is obvious ❤
