Another important aspect I don't think you mentioned is pairing this with a shotgun means a greater ammo pool. If you empty the basically meme shotgun barrel you get 4 extra shots or slugs if you're so inclined. Great to go with a Crown and king

It's my combo for using the Slate atm. Just make sure you fire off the shotgun before you hit an ammo crate and you get the extra 4.

Reloading the LeMat was also not possible like it is in the game. It was a muzzle loaded gun. This is why the LeMat we have in the game is the "mk 2"

@@archer260 maybe rapid twitching of the hammer would accidentally switch that tab which directs which barrel would fire qnd instead of fanning all 9 rounds in cylinder you'll fire a shotgun and then stop... Idk. Fanning was more prevalent with single-action guns, but LeMat was a single-action gun, so i dunno how it would be impossible to fan the hammer.

Well, the gun is interesting but the video completely skip the worst aspect of this weapon: the rate of fire and the damage are terrible So you essentially take it for a highly inconsistent shotgun and 3 more bullets Instead you can take the caldwell conversion, pay less and have better RoF and damage (both weapons have fmj)

Note: Ambidextrous does not benefit the reload of the shotgun shells. (Wait, nevermind. Without ambidexterous it is 11 seconds, with it it is around 9 seconds. The animation does not change though which is how I got confused.)

So everyone is probably familiar with the LeMat in Red Dead, that example is the original black powder cap & ball/muzzle loader. The one in this video seems to use cartridges, which there are rare examples of them out there. Ian over at FogottenWeapons and the guys over at Brownells have a video of the examples they got a hold of. Now while we see a gate for the pistol cartridges, there doesn’t seem to be one for the shotgun rounds… which the real life guns had, so all you had to do was flip it open and throw a shotgun round in there. Edit: Oh god, I just saw how they have you load the shotty. Break apart action… The reason why there’s not too many break action revolvers is because it’s a weak action, larger rounds would destroy that thing. But ya know, bideo game, let’s pretend. The nerd in me will just be screaming on the inside as I shove him in the locker for everyone to ignore.

Average lemat enjoyer here: -You didnt talk about lemat slugs which makes the lemat a very good secondary if paired with fmj. It is useful if you have a single shot weapon primary and someone up in your face. The slugs will reliably one shot up to about 10 meters (saved my hunters multiple times). -also you can use the lemat as a secondary for shotguns with custom ammo that are ammo hungry like the terminus

And is perfect side arm with fanning. worth the price of fanning which I never run unless I find it. other wise I use doctor physician and frontiersmen when I can. switch out frontiersmen for fanning. don't have to worry about healing when you can send hella lead at em.

That would be very useful . You would ADS the first one and when you empty its cylinder you aim with the other . If only we could fire with only one pistol at a time when dual wielding . Instead of holding both revolvers infront of your face and blocking the view most of the time especially when using big chunky pistols (the lemat for example)

I don’t think I’d mind that! It’d make dual wielding much more common and viable, and you still wouldn’t be able to fan it so there’d still be an advantage to single-wielding. That and, it would still be a trade-off because it would make dualies less effective at close range if they can only hipfire up close.

Hell yeah I've been waiting for this video for a while now! I love this pistol, the iron sight on it is super good for some reason and I've gotten so many headshots with it. The shotgun on it is kinda niche but when it's useful it's really useful. Taking this with FMJ plus a shotgun is my go to shotgun build. Also the video is super funny. Love Iris

The slight increase of night maps for event got me into using the LeMat which I had previously hated too much to get used to and have since grown to love. Good sight for head clicking and I always carry starshell for night utility just in case.
