This is an incredible achievement in the golf sim space. Still a fair bit behind what is possible graphically but I feel that we are in for a huge jump in realism in the next 3-5 years. Nice video can't wait to see what CE has in store for us going forward

Played the course after seeing this video. It really was a fun course to play, and it is visually one of the best. Just curious, on my system the course didnt seem as sharp as yours in the video. What video adjustments do you recommend making to sharpen it up? Could you share your cpu setup or video settings?

Thanks mate! Yes it's starting to feel a lot better. It's funny what helped was not hitting balls for a few weeks (went away for work) and using my speed sticks to really try and ingrain a feel.

Wow beautiful course well done. CE! I’m so jealous of your ball speed I’ve been working and get my driver club speed to 110 but my ball speed is in the 50s only and can definitely tell the difference in my carry

Thanks mate! I've been working on a few technical changes and it's helped me pick up a bit of speed! I do think the VX is reading my ball speed about 1-2 mph high as well at the moment! More testing needed for sure. Speed training is great isn't it.. I got my old man into it and he has picked up a lot of yardage!

I know... Well the new update said that they have given the designers new tools to use so I'm sure we will be seeing some update to graphics soon. The new range coming looks like it's using better scenic backdrops! Exciting times.

Great videos. Started watching since I am interested in the Protee VX. I currently play GSPro on the Quad and wanted to switch to a overhead mount LM for my sim room. Foresight wanted too much to trade in the Quad for a Falcon. Watching videos of yours appears like I wont be disappointed in getting a VX. I can get a VX cheaper than trading in the Quad for a Falcon. And then I would have both.

The VX is fantastic for ball data now, the overhead video is incredible.. it has a lot of pros but they still need to work on club data in my opinion and they know this as well.. they are working on in. To me club speeds jump around a bit (you can see this in my course play videos) and also the dynamic loft and AOA numbers aren't too consistent either. I'd love to actually test it against Quad! Hopefully one day

Joe what is you’re on course cap? You play like a +3 on sim, great swing and a pure stroke with short game within half a yard carry. Envious of your game!

Hard to say... The reason for this is I rarely put any cards in for handicap. I am off scratch but that's a traveling scratch I don't have a home course and play outside a handfull of times a year. I am an ex professional but that was a long time ago 🤣. Lowest score this year -7 outdoors but I am generally around par or a few over / under

This may not be the video to comment on this but I also recently got a ProTee VX and love it. I got to your first tee shot and saw 109.8 club speed with a 165.7 ball speed leading to a massive, almost unachievable, smash factor 1.51 on an off center hit. I am wondering if you are getting funny club head speed readings along with funny club loft readings like I have been getting? To me it tends to read club head speed slower than I would expect and often shows really high club lofts that simply cannot be true.

Yes I have had a few questionable club speed reads that I have reported through to protee as well as spin reading. Overall amazing device but I can see 3 numbers that need tweaking slightly to make this thing amazing!

I use a mini pc with GS Pro running on lite. Never really have to much of an issue, but trying to play The Fold has me realziing I need an upgrade.

You can definitely get away with most courses but it's really going to start to happen more and more with the courses getting better and new tools that the designers can use.

Joe. This course looks amazing. Are you using GSPro Beta? I have the EML. A week now and quite a few miss reads and no reads. I shut off florescent lights. Purchased for the supposed reliable data? Any environmental recommendations to look for?

Hey Mike that's not good to hear! You definitely made the right decision to kill the fluros.. they can definitely affect it. It's weird I have another guy really struggling with no reads as well. You can only just start eliminating things one by one that you think may be an issue. Do you have any metallic reflective strips on your shoes? Maybe just try darker shoes and see if that works? Is the unit the correct height as the hitting surface? Try moving it ever so slightly higher and see if that helps.

I noticed there’s no clouds, if you hit “advanced” does it add all the nice clouds and adjust the colors slightly? It’s the first thing I do when I open a course

Yes you can hit the L key and adjust till you have it just how you like it. This was just default how to comes if you just open it up and play.

I notice that you keyboard aim your putts and short chips. I have the ProTee VX as well and I tend to just physically aim my shot whichever way I need to aim it. Maybe try experimenting with that and see if you like that better or not.

Definitely do this. Your HLA will be useless if you’re aiming left and right physically and hitting away from the centreline. When friends come round or just a bit of fun I just let them aim left or right physically

Yes I do this often just for fun if I'm trying to quickly get some holes in. But I do love aiming in game as then I can really see my HLA numbers and make sure I'm hitting good putts 👍

@@JLagGOLF I usually have auto aim on if I'm playing a local match. Sometimes it doesn't do the aim though and then I just aim the putts physically as I don't really care about HLA for these. If I'm practicing, it's usually straight putts (on your training facility) where I will then focus on HLA numbers. I make sure to always turn off the putting assistance toggle so that it's more true. I think that would only matter though if your HLA is higher than 2 degrees either way.

Yes it's a bit bright lol I looked at the mini map when using it.. if it ever looks bad in the world then look at it with the mini map and it will look good.
